Visited swamp daddy’s while in town traveling to the super bowl. Started with the gumbo which was delicious. Ordered the 3lb crawfish and 10 shrimp platter. The crawfish was excellent and the shrimp were phenomenal. My father had the catfish and fried crawfish which I tried. The catfish was very flavorful and the fried crawfish was excellent. Finally to finish the meal we split the bread pudding. Now let me tell you that this bread pudding was the best I have ever had anywhere. It was served warm with vanilla ice cream, the flavor was exquisite and just blew me away. The trip would be worth it from anywhere in the country to eat at swamp daddy’s

Came for the first time–around 5:40 P.M.
The waiting time was 20 mins. –no big deal at all.

There was a guy out that was talking to a lot of the patrons outside–he sounds like Luke Bryan. I am not sure if he runs the place, but he seemed hospitable to all. Lol!

I enjoyed the bisque and fried catfish.
I will be back to try the boiled crawfish and gumbo!

The was a bit salty and tough to chew. I won’t get the shrimp again.

Great Staff–friendly and fun folks.

Beautiful interior and table decorum.

Swamp Daddys never disappoints! Great taste, always clean crawfish, nice size. I didn’t get a picture but we also tried the bread pudding and it was fantastic!! Can not recommend this place enough.

Fun place to eat. We have never tried crawfish before. It was good. The shrimp was excellent! The only thing you need to know is you can ask for mild or extra hot if you like. I wish we had known that prior. Lips are still tingly! Great appetizer menu as well.

It’s early in crawfish season, but I had some really large crawfish and they were seasoned perfectly. The owner was making rounds making sure everyone was taken care of. Service was great and atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitelybe back.

One of my favorite places when I am in Alexandria (LA) . During crawfish season specially, simply perfectly boiled, spicy but not too much, can be eating dads all night long.

They do only have one dessert option: White chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream… Zillion calories, but who cares!

Friendly staff and absolutely good value for the money. Strongly recommended if you are around!

They refurbished the restaurant a while ago and looks really good!

Thumbs up for Swamp Daddy’s!

Hungry for crawfish, Swamp Daddy’s was recommended so we gave it a try. The staff were super friendly, yet not overbearing. Prices were moderate, much to my surprise. The food…amazing!! I had the 5 pound boiled crawfish platter. This comes with one boiled potato and one ear of corn, think nibblet. Not one flat tail in the platter and the crawfish ranged from medium to large. Not too spicy either. This was about as perfect as you could ask for. There are other options on the menu if crawfish are not your thing, catfish, shrimp, oysters, crackers, even hamburgers. Run, don’t walk, to Swamp Daddy’s. You won’t be disappointed.
