Amazing gem – I can’t recommend it highly enough. Orla is lovely and warm, and our dinners were simply fabulous. From the courgette soup, to the Clare Island salmon, and onward into some very exciting dessert options, we were simply transported. Thank you to Gaffneys for our finest dinner out, yet!

Calamari was delish. Pizza was excellent. I tried hawaiin, barbecue, pepperoni, and the vegetarian. All of them were good, but there was something about the pepperoni that hit the spot though.

Love Gaffneys! We go there every summer for delicious food and drink. The surf and turf is delicious and the seafood is always the freshest. Highly recommended if you are near Louisburgh.

Beautiful with a venue not without its charm which they should totally advertise. The seafood tagliatelle was yum.
This place is missing a beat with its environmental sustainability initiatives in an ever so gentle way taking locals on their journey. Reusable napkins, local food and young local staff with locals fiercely protecting these young people by coming here. They should provide little notes all over the place telling their story.
Id love if they would try out a monthly jazz, celtic fusion and new music chosen by the staff . Dessert was grand but why not a trio or crackers and brandy.

I have a feeling we arrived to the restaurant after the chef went home. We were looking forward to dining here after reading all the reviews but sadly our evening was very disappointing.
On a positive note, the place is nice, our waitress was a friendly girl, albeit inexperienced and we enjoyed the calamari.
Sadly, the salmon was overcooked but the real shocker was with the desserts. They looked like someone had flung the cream on to the plate. The basil that came with my pavlova belonged in the compost bin. How anyone thought it was a good idea to put such wilted basil on to a plate is beyond me.
The wine choice was poor.

Always an excellent night out! The seafood is fresh and deliciously cooked, the mussels in cream and crispy calamari to start, absolutely divine. We had the chef special pasta, seafood pasta and the surf and turf tonight. Couldn’t be happier with it – the banoffee and crumble are favourites. The pizza is great, especially the seafood.

A popular restaurant, so make sure you book. Luckily when my wife and went, we were able to get a table as ‘walk ins’ but only an hour later. The staff were great, and even though it describes itself as a ‘Seafood’ restaurant (and seafood is prominent on the menu) their steak is amazing. I had the soup of the day, which was Mushroom, as my starter & my wife had the Calamari. For the main I had steak and my wife had the Salmon.

Booked for dinner here as staying in the area. Absolutely top notch. Starter, mains and dessert all delicious. We travel and eat at many restaurants throughout the country and definitely in the top two. This is not fine dining but the food was as good as any where we have eaten and great value.
