I ordered (for delivery) the tiger roll, the salamander roll, the red dragon and Philly rolls. I was pretty underwhelmed with everything.
With the price being on the higher end ($16-$22 for 8 pieces) I was expecting a lot more flavour and freshness, neither of which I had.
The rice was dry, the tempura tasted old and nothing had flavour. I unfortunately won’t order here again.

We tried the miso soup, seaweed salad, pork gyoza, shrimp and veggie tempura, shrimp battera, salmon battera, house roll, and kamakazi roll. The house roll, veggie tempura and seaweed salad were good. The rest was just ok. I found the battera had too much rice to fish ratio. The gyoza was slightly undercooked and I would have fried it longer to make it more crispy. The service was very good though, thank you for being attentive.

The price for a “specialty” roll is $17-22, but the roll was extremely small, the green onion topping was dried out, and very little rice in the roll. Definitely not the quality you expect for that price! The simple salmon roll was even smaller (!!!), with a sliver of salmon inside. The rolls were freshly made but the size and quality was comparative to grocery store sushi. Service was good. Spent $70 for 2 specialty rolls and 2 regular rolls, we left really disappointed.

Second time coming this year. Quality of food and service are consistent. This time, additionally to the Sweet potato frenzy and Kamikaze, we really enjoyed the 88 sushi roll and the kiwi twist. Will return to try more soon!

First time here since I’ve lived in Ottawa and I’m ashamed I haven’t tried it until now! I’d say it’s one of the best sushi restos in Ottawa. Cute little spot in Chinatown with 6-8 tables. Staff were polite, kind, and attentive. Sushi was delicious, high quality, and very fresh. We ordered the Kamikaze, Tiger, Salamander, and Black Dragon sushi rolls between the two of us and left very satisfied and happy. Can’t wait to come back!!

Sadly, the restaurant is not open for lunch anymore. I used to order lunches for my staff members for special occasions. We all loved these take-out lunches.
The picture shows my favorite Salamander Roll. The combination of crispy and soft is fabulous. For sashimi lovers, there is Sashimi Just For Me : ). Is it not a clever name for the dish?
So, do not hesitate to dine in or order out. You will not be disappointed.
