Best almond croissant I’ve ever had, and I lived around the corner from Balthazar for years. The cafe was just about to close and I still received service with a smile. Thank you for making my afternoon train ride an enjoyable one, G Cafe!

As local residents, we were genuinely pleased to see G Cafe open downtown. The coffee is excellent, and the pastries and bread are truly outstanding. However, our recent experience was disappointing and raised concerns about the level of management and hospitality. We ordered a hot quiche, which was served cold. After bringing it to the staff’s attention, it was replaced — again, cold — and the issue was neither acknowledged nor addressed. Another time, the cashier over charged for an item, and we questioned – we only received a “I don’t know what to do”. This lack of attention to detail and customer service reflects poorly on what could otherwise be a wonderful addition to the community.

Bad coffee, unfriendly service, takes forever. Took 20 minutes for one drink as one of two people in there. Did not even receive my correct order after all that. Service was not with a smile.
