From the reviews and the prices, I was looking forward to a proper classic pizza restaurant. What we got foodwise was the most unremarkable takeout joint ever. The sandwiches are good, the Italian on the lower end of mediocre.

Pizza was not flavorful. I’ve certainly had LESS flavorful pizza—at least there was sauce here—but it was nothing I’d ever buy again. Not worth the calories in the slightest.

There was a wonderful aroma of garlic… but I couldn’t detect any hint of the flavor when actually eating it. There was nothing bad about the sauce, but also nothing I’d write home about, let alone recommend. Again, not tasteless. but unflavorful.

The crust had an odd flavor. I couldn’t tell of it was bad dough or if they’d attempted to infuse herbs, but if it was deliberate the flavors just did not come together. Baking of the crust was mediocre as well, the kind of chewy crust that doesn’t bite cleanly and you have to kind of tear at.

It is very difficult to get the flavors of a pizza to come together into that “pizza magic” and not simply taste like the separate components of cheese, sauce, and bread… and Romo’s just does not manage it. But they charge like they do, which is the real sin of this store. I see nicer looking photos in reviews that look nothing like what I received, so maybe they prioritze sit-down customers and just cut corners on outside orders they know can’t send it back? But if that’s the case that is an even worse sin for a pizza place that advertises orders.

The meatballs I was also looking forward to, and again found I was mislead by the price. At least they were handmade, not frozen… but not good homemade. Certainly not an Italian family recipe. They were tough and gristly, with utterly unremarkable flavor. Exactly one step above frozen grocery store meatballs.
The ricotta was fine, but it was wasted in the company of these meatballs.

The tuna panini was the highlight. Now THIS was an item worthy of the price. Fresh ingredients, generous portion, good price. Wasn’t anything special about the flavor, it was a plain tuna sandwich, but it was a good tuna sandwich, not much more one can ask for. If only they could raise their actual italian dishes to this level… or lower the prices.

My experience with Romo’s food was that of a thoroughly mediocre takeout joint. Not bottom of the barrel, but not something I’d ever order unless it was midnight and nothing else was open. The only problem is they price their items as if they were a choice quality Italian family restaurant, a special occasion place. They are not. I’ve had better meatballs from Olive Garden, and better pizza from Costco. I’d only recommend stopping by for the sandwiches; if you’re looking for Italian, take your money, your calories, and your tastebuds elsewhere.

This place would make a 4 star late-night takeout joint, but with this pricing and hours it makes a 2 star local Italian restaurant. If you’re looking for something to go, I’d bump the average rating up a star to 3 for the properly priced sandwiches, a fine thing to stop by for.

With already some of the best pizza (if not the best) in the area, their service was outdone; particularly yesterday. I made a passing mention that one of the slices was for my daughter and the younger guy working (around 3pm) offered to cut the slice up and took the time to cut it into smaller pieces. It was a really thoughtful thing to do and you really appreciate those little things that make parenting just a little easier from time to time.

Hands down the best pizza shop in town. What we appreciate most is the consistency every single time we order, the food is fresh, hot, and exactly what we expect. The quality never slips, which says a lot.

Their pizza is excellent, and their full menu offerings are always reliable and well-prepared. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Whether it’s a quick lunch or dinner for the family, we know we can count on them.

We truly appreciate the consistency, service, and quality. Keep up the great work!

This is all the pasta i got in my $25 dollar chicken dinner. This is honestly just disappointing that you spend that much money to get such little amount of pasta. This was my boyfriend’s pasta, the comparison is absurd. You guys really gotta do better at checking whats coming out the kitchen. We also had a “4oz vodka sauce” added and that didnt come. The pasta is dry as well.

We order from Romo’s somewhat regularly as our default pizza joint (because it’s close), but, I’ll be honest, I do not see the fuss. It’s pizza. Not great. Just pizza. It’s fine. Legitimately nothing special. Why some rave about I cannot understand.

Go to family pizza outing, some of the best thin crust, detriot, and crispy wings I’ve had in general. Recommend the Detroit and Buffalo Garlic Parm Wings extra crispy. Servers are all very friendly and great.

We ordered the “Balboa” Pizza Grandma Style and Lasagna. Followed by a Apple pie Calzone which I took to go. Just a quick meal with my son while doing laundry near by before I had to leave for work. Every bite delicious; which is why I go there often.

Have been 2 times to Romo’s and let me tell ya- the pizza is beyond amazing!!! The crust is thin and crunchy, no flop, the ingredients are high quality, the packaging and the overall satisfaction has been personally 10/10!! These guys pay attention to details. Got an order of buffalo chicken wings and OMG each wing was huge, juicy and with slight crunchiness and the sauce was just and to top it up the blue cheese sauce- have never had in my life such an amazing blue cheese dip for the wings- the taste was spectacular, it made me think if I had ever had blue cheese sauce before the only ‘good’ problem is because this place is so great, it can be difficult to find parking

Finally a pizza place/restaurant that lives up to the hype! Went on a busy Saturday night and the service was still fantastic! Got the New Haven award winning pizza and the vodka Detroit style and both were delicious! Got a Caesar salad which was huge… a lil lite on the dressing but they were more than happy to bring out some extra! They do need a bigger location with a better parking lot but other than that… I will def be back!

Great place to go for pizza if you are near Albany. I recommend the Napoli Pizza if you are dining in. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They have different take-out vs dine in menus which is interesting. If I was around here this would be my regular pizza spot.
