Highlights: incredible price for what you get even when food guaranteed fresh and made small batch daily.
It’s important to keep in mind what Panda Express is competing with. It’s not competing with authentic Chinese sit down gourmet restaurants, it’s competing with takeout food places like Chipotle and typical American Chinese takeout places (think greasy lo mien in those white foldable boxes). A LOT of low reviews are assuming one it’s what it isn’t. It’s not mom’s cooking from China, it’s classic American Chinese takeout you see in movies.
Anyways food is good at a pretty good price. Portions are well sized for the price. Yes pricing has prob gone up, but the same can be said for any business that existed during these high inflationary times. By looking at nutritional content, being able to get 600 calories and 30 g of protein for $9 is a STEAL in 2025. A whopper meal at BK is $8 for less protein than that and way more fat lol. However, it IS more expensive than a regular local American Chinese takeout joint. Edit: I just bought a two entree (40g protein, 800 calories) meal for $11 in 2026. Check out the photo it’s massive! I was stuffed.
This is probably the healthiest American Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. It’s not doused in grease and oil and the food tastes fresh, and this explains why it’s marginally more expensive than regular AC takeout. The website does state that food is made fresh similar to Chipotle. Now while those greasy classic AC places are close to my heart, you know dang well that food could be of any quality lol…
Panda Express operates well with very affordable prices for fresh American Chinese food. The Asian lady working the counter today (Saturday 8/3/25) was very pleasant and super positive vibes. Needs a raise.

Food portions way smaller then before. The lady in front of me got the 1 portion. And I got the 2 portion of the same thing. Both portions were the same. Not to mention the size overall is smaller.
Also food is lacking the normal flavor one would expect. I know it was busy but needed cleaned and when I said eat in the lady seemed like that was a issue.

In this location they take more care of online orders or Uber eat than the actual customer in the store.. waiting for more than 15 mins in the line.
Also you are ignored for several minutes at the counter from the staff since they are more focused in the online orders than saying hello or something to us store customers.

This is my second time ordering a party tray for 20. I ordered way in advance both times. Got the text that my order is ready. Gave them 20 extra minutes before the scheduled pick up time …just in case since last time I also had to wait. Walk in, my order is not ready! “SORRY, NOT READY, WAIT 30 MIN.THANKYOU!” Unacceptable. I understand it’s not ready, then don’t send a text saying it is. I guess my party of 20 has to wait ….again!:/

I haven’t been to a Panda Express since highschool! My daughter suggested we go and it didn’t disappoint! We just moved to Germantown a little over a year ago and we’ve been visiting local places to eat. This is everything I remembered! The dining room area was clean, they have parking out back so the walk was minimal, and the staff was very friendly. If you want something nostalgic and affordable Panda Express is definitely a good place!

Smaller portion than other Panda… look at the photo. The $1.5 premium entree comes only 4 pieces of steak. Very disappointing. However, the fried rice is excellent. More moist and flavorful than other stores for some reason.

Every other day portions are getting smaller. today was my last day in this location. I’d rather to drive to Montgomery Mall to have better experience. Beside that I appreciate the Asian Lady who is always on Cashier. She’s really friendly.

There is a worker there who always speaks to me in Spanish. I understand that I may look Hispanic, but I have told her multiple times that I do not speak Spanish. Each time, she ignores what I say, gives me a dismissive look, and continues speaking Spanish to me. I feel that she may assume I am choosing not to speak Spanish, which is not true. I have no problem with Spanish at all—I simply do not understand it.

I’ve been eating here for almost a year, but recently they made the containers smaller and started serving noticeably a smaller portion. The portions of rice, chow mein, and other items are way smaller than before. If the owner wants to make more profit, they should just raise the prices—don’t cheat customers by quietly shrinking everything. What’s worse, the nearby stores from the same franchise still have the same container size and portions they’ve had since the beginning. I won’t be coming back.

Good food and clean place.when i visited around noon i was expecting to see at least 2 cashier/server! But there was only one vs a large crowd of hungry customer! She did her best tho, so i eventually ate. Im not sure if its always like that but if so they need to fix it! There is street parking too so its easily accessible
