Centro – Burgers & Shakes – Hamburger restaurant in Lombard …
Reviews
But unfortunately with the food itself it was very mid. (See reviews on bottom)
We got 2 sliders each (1 beef and 1 chicken) and the portions were very small compared to what was expected.
Review:
Beef slider 6.2/10
Chicken slider (spicy and juicy) 7.3/10
The double beef patty burger was an absolute delight. The patties were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the combination of toppings and sauces was spot-on. The bun was soft and held up well against the meat and toppings, adding just the right amount of sweetness to the burger. The accompanying fries were crispy and flavorful, and the portion was generous.
The chicken burger was equally delicious and tendered.
Chocolate / Mango milkshake were thick, creamy, and rich, with good amount of sweetness.
Overall, our experience at Centro Burger was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient.
Pros: Arguably one of the best burgers in Lombard. The menu is simple and easy. The price is reasonable. The burgers are loaded with fresh veggies and the Centro sauce has a nice kick to it, similar to Big Mac sauce, but higher quality. The patty is just the right texture and depth. Not too thin and not too thick, easy to chew. The buns are thin and easy to eat. (I dislike big fat burger buns). The fries are also one of the best in Lombard area. They are well seasoned and crispy. I’d highly recommend it.
Cons: There is essentially no customer service. You place orders through the self order touch screens, then the chef makes it in the kitchen. Efficient, but not welcoming. A simple “Hi” from the chef would go a long way. Towards the second half of the burger, you lose out on the toppings and left with just the patty and buns. Not sure if it’s supposed to made like pita style, but I’d prefer all the toppings distributed evenly throughout the burger.
If I were the owner, I’d give the place a small face lift with new counters, better lighting, new tables and chairs to make it more modern and more inviting for people to sit and eat. The bathroom area looks like you’re going to a dark closet. Put more lighting there and update the bathrooms and put locks on them!!!
This place really has the potential to be a hot spot for locals and out of towners. Food is delicious. Just some updates to the restaurant will triple to quadruple their revenue. Wish you all the best.
The grilled onions on the burgers are very good option. Add the Centro Sauce to your fries. Also you can wrap in lettuce to decrease carps but the bun they use is really good. Recommended !
Awesome new halal
Smash burger place and HMS certified as of writing this review. For full review of their double smash burger with their spicy sauce, seasoned fries and vanilla shake, make sure to check out my YouTube channel-HALAL DIGEST. I did hear they offer some of the best Hyderabadi biryani, but unfortunately they didn’t have it that day so will be back to try it out. Make sure to ask for extra spicy sauce theirs is one of the best burger sauces for sure.
Pros:
– Order online via their website (Square) and use Apple Pay for quick pay and pickup
– Excellent fresh patty melt style burgers, made in an open kitchen so you can see their hygiene
– Fries are good, not perfect
Need to improve:
– Ambiance- it’s a hole in the wall because it’s up and coming, but they need major renovation in dining, tables and bathrooms. Not a place you want to take your family but rather buddies for a quick bite
– Drinks- all cans and bottles, need more options
– Customer service- non existent. You order online or via Square devices yourself at the restaurant. So why do you ask for tip? No customer service is being provided.
Overall, solid place for a burger but they need to keep up with their competition and learn from them (ie Bumper 2 Burger)
