Very disappointed! I visited for lunch. The place was at 10% capacity at most. The initial service was fast and friendly, the food came out fast, but that’s where it stops. I had an empty drink for over 10 min, only to have the empty glass taken away with no offer for another drink. 3 servers standing around just looking at our empty drinks. The food was lackluster! The calamari was overcooked, over seasoned, dry and tasted old. The ahi tacos were mediocre at best. The pork belly tacos were not good! Again, overcooked. The taste was ONLY from the sauce, not the protein. The fish sandwich was the best thing we had but also didn’t taste fresh. Nice place! Comfortable, clean, pleasant. Food needs to be better! Service needs to be better.

You know, this restaurant was phenomenal. For a hotel restaurant especially, I was super surprised. The look, vibe, lighting were all superior. Our food was also delicious – the lomo saltado was great. Cocktails also were great, and prices reasonable. Also of note, my colleague and I both asked the server to help us narrow down dinner options, and he steered us both toward dishes we loved. The service was outstanding. Would be a great business or date location.

We had an incredible experience at Mamey Miami in Coral Gables! Our dinner reservation was for 5 people at 8:00 PM, but two members of our group were running nearly an hour late. Despite the delay, Rick, the manager, was extremely accommodating and made sure we still had a table ready once everyone arrived—his professionalism and hospitality set the tone for the night.

The bartender was top-notch, crafting some amazing cocktails to get the evening started. I ordered the Brava, a tequila-based drink that was perfectly balanced and refreshing. My wife had the Rumwake, a rum cocktail that was equally impressive. Both drinks were standout creations.

For appetizers, we shared the pork belly tacos, shrimp ceviche, and ahi ahi taquitos—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our friends ordered the lomo saltado, lobster penne pasta, and butcher’s cut steak for their mains, and everyone agreed: the food was phenomenal.

The ambiance was beautiful, the restaurant was immaculately clean, and even the bathrooms had thoughtful touches like a mouthwash dispenser with individual shot servings—such a smart and classy detail.

From start to finish, this was an amazing night. Excellent service, delicious food, and creative cocktails in a stunning setting. Mamey is the perfect spot for a special night out or a memorable date. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional food, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service, Mamey is the spot to visit. I recently had the pleasure of spending a leisurely lunch there with friends, and it turned out to be an experience worth raving about. From the incredible flavors to the inviting atmosphere and thoughtful service, this restaurant hits all the right notes for a memorable outing.
Located in a vibrant yet tranquil setting, Mamey has an unmistakable charm. The interior is warm and welcoming, with tropical touches that make you feel as though you’ve been whisked away to an island escape. It’s cozy and stylish without being pretentious, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy quality time with friends.
One important tip for anyone planning a visit: avoid arriving too close to 2 PM. The kitchen and bar close at 3 PM to prepare for their evening service, which resumes at 5 PM. While this timing could be a bit limiting, it’s worth planning around because the food is absolutely phenomenal.
The dishes we tried were nothing short of amazing. Each plate was a celebration of bold, fresh flavors with a tropical twist that’s both unique and comforting. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of options that cater to different tastes, and every bite was a testament to the chef’s creativity and attention to detail.
What really made our afternoon special, though, was our server. Their exceptional service and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch to the experience. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, our server went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time. Their positive energy truly elevated the atmosphere and left us all smiling long after the meal was over.
After 5 PM, the restaurant terrace comes alive with a fantastic happy hour. Drinks are half-price, and the terrace provides a stunning view of the sunset, making it the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the golden hour with friends. The combination of good company, refreshing cocktails, and a breathtaking view is nothing short of magical.
Mamey is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing lunch, a great place to catch up with friends, or a lively happy hour spot, this place delivers on all fronts. The thoughtful details, from the food to the ambiance and service, reflect a commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience.

I highly recommend visiting Mamey, especially if you’re in the mood for a laid-back yet vibrant vibe. Just be sure to time your visit to fully enjoy either their lunch offerings or their terrace happy hour. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I plan to stick around for sunset—it’s too good to pass up!

Located in the Thesis hotel, I went for brunch, very nice elevated atmosphere. We had a breakfast croissant and short rib Benedict, both very good. They have a guava jam that is homemade and amazing. We ended with the sticky toffee pudding that was also veryyy good. Overall good experience, will return.

Overall, I had an unsatisfactory experience at Mamey Miami. I went here with a group of 16 friends on a Friday evening. We selected this resistant because it had great reviews. It also accommodated large parties and had a pre-fixed menu with 3 set courses which we thought would make the experience seamless. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and while we were seated quickly that was the only part of the experience that was quick. We spent 3 hours here – primarily because it took between 30mins – 1 hour between each course. In addition to that, we were sat at two separate but neighboring tables and each table received their food at different times. Each course there was a long period of time were one table was eating and the other was sitting around waiting for their food. The food itself was fine, nothing amazing. We mostly bussed the tables ourselves by collecting our plates in the hopes that the waiters would come by to collect them eventually as we went very long periods without being waited on. Despite the restaurant not being full. The worst part of the experience was after 2 hours of this, we had to ask for the manager to receive an update. The manager did not come by of their own volition to check on us or apologize. It wasn’t until we asked that he spoke with us. He did offer us a modest discount which we appreciated though it did not rectify the experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not be returning.

From the time we arrived until the time that we left, the experience was amazing. We are not from the area and arrived early fearing that we would hit some of the crazy Miami area traffic. They were able to get us in early and seated without a problem. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was great. The food was amazing to the point we probably ate a bit too much and still ordered dessert. Totally worth it.

This restaurant had a variety of cultural dishes which were great tasting. The restaurant was extremely busy! We had reservations, thankfully, which allowed for seating right away. We were seated outdoors, which is a covered terrace. Great ambiance which makes for a great ladies/social/date night. Cocktails were amazing.
The restaurant was very busy, while our server was great, we weren’t attended to often.
Also, if you prefer a more ‘relaxing’ vibe, go to the hotels 3rd floor. Mamey has a rooftop bar and serves the menu appetizers.

Awesome experience!! The chef Raul Zambrano was definitely a great choice to lead the team, the food is now fresher and the flavors have more personality than ever. The service from Melina and Ruben exceeded the expectations. The drinks from the Master Bartender Jonathan made me break the “only one drink rule”. And of course the politeness from Rick the manager always made feel like home.

Mamey is a great place for a date or to have a chat with friends and family. The place is nicely decorated. The atmosphere is speakeasy and modern. Our food & drink choices were all Wonderful and tasty. The meat was cooked right, the fish was soft and the rum cake, oh the rum cake was definitely the best part! A must try if you’re at Mamey.. 4/5 due to the prices for the size of the plates. Wish they were just a tad less expensive. Overall, had a good experience.
