Me Ma’s Soul Food was amazing! I had the smothered pork chops with macaroni and cheese and fresh green beans (not canned), and everything was seasoned perfectly and delicious.
My husband ordered the beef stew/oxtails, and it was so good. He’s been here a few times and is the one who introduced me to this place—this was my first visit, but definitely not my last.
The food is excellent, the aesthetics are beautiful, and the customer service is outstanding. It has a warm, homie vibe that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

I DO NOT SUPPORT MANY BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES DUE TO THE NASTY ATTITUDES THAT ARE ALWAYS PRESENTED BUT THIS ONE RIGHT HERE GETS AN EXCEPTION. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND FROM MY NECK OF THE WOODS. THE WHITING IS FRESH, PERFECTLY SEASONED, YET NOT SALTY. MAC N CHEESE IS DIFFERENT BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS I LOVE THE SEASONING. IT IS ALSO CREAMY AND FLAVORFUL. THE CABBAGE/BROCCOLI/ PEPPER MIX WAS OUTSTANDING AND PERFECTLY SEASONED. FRESH LEMONADE IS HARD TO COME BY BUT THEY HAVE IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PERFECT EXPERIENCE. I WILL BE BACK TO TRY EVERYTHING.
Oh I dont like cornbread from many places other than home but this was moist with a perfect hint of sweetness. Nothing needs to be added. I havent tasted the banana pudding yet…i will come back and add it.

I stopped in on this past Sunday and ordered the turkey wing dinner. The wi g itself was very tasty, but I feel as though I got duped on the sides. You would think that a turkey&rice dinner with two sides would allow me to pick – my own sides but what I got was
Turkey wing dinner- with a small amount of rice, then there was a Hugh amount rice as one of the sides and then vegetables- in actually I got a turkey wing dinner with one actual side and a lot of rice that was really not the greatest……
So I’ll think twice before I stop at me/mas restaurant on Sunday afternoon. … when I really want sides ant just double or triple rice!!

Me and my fiance ate inside and had the meatloaf and chicken wings. With mac and cheese yams and potatoes. The meatloaf is the best i’ve ever had and I told my fiance he isn’t allowed to try it cause mine at home can’t compare to how delicious it is. I hate bell peppers and the meatloaf has some on top, i’ve never enjoyed bell peppers before but they were SO GOOD! The mash potatoes were perfectly creamy and the cornbread is a nice touch. Will definitely be back the owners were very sweet and show a great representation of a good Black family feeding the community good food. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, I will be back again and again!!! and the lemonade 10/10 i’ll be dreaming about that meatloaf during my nap after this food. really does feed the soul.

Carlos and Anne Bailey visited this restaurant for the first time and the place is so clean and classy. Me-Ma and her husband have such beautiful spirits. The food was so… delicious. We ordered 2 dinners with the Chitterlings over rice,greens, potato salad and cornbread and a drink came with it. Carlos ordered a side of Mac and cheese.The atmosphere was so peaceful.Everything was amazing and we will be returning soon.

I didn’t know why I only got 1 side with my Philly cheese steak while the other meals got 2. It was 1 of the best Philly I had in a while. I would rather have Heinz ketchup. And the drinks for the combos were like kid size drinks

Ordered beef oxtail for $25 and a side of collard greens for $10. The food wasn’t worth the cost. It had NO real flavor and everything taste the same waaaaayyyyy too much spicy seasoning on everything even the rice. I don’t think I’ll recommend anyone to eat there I spent $38 dollars and barely eat a quarter of the meal. The guy at the counter was really nice but that wouldn’t be enough for me to eat the tasteless food.

At first, I was hesitant due to the 1-star reviews, but they are accurate. Its always OUR kind that overcharges and gives US the nastiness. Horrible attitude from the get-go. Overpriced canned-food looking slop. There’s MUCH better out here. Pass this one for sure.
