At our Donelson, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food was decent, regular Captain D’s fare. HOWEVER, I want to say a thank you and Way-To-Go to the super sweet, cashier, Reba! There was ice near the front entrance, she left the building to help my elderly parents step over the ice, then was so sweet and patient while my parents ordered. Thank you so much!

This place used to be a lot better. After they hired new staff, the customer service and food quality started getting worse. This is what they gave me for a side order of okra, because they didn’t have the normal containers available. It’s hideous, and I had to repeatedly ask for another cup because the portion was so small. I will never go there again!

I ordered online the fish sandwich. When I’m hungry, they charged me good money but when I got the delivery I got only fish sandwich and they didn’t give any drink or any souse or anything. I mentioned everything in the app doordash. Still they don’t care. I’m fed up for this. I faced this many times and told the restaurant but still they are not changed.

Never tried this before and got a coupon in the mail… didn’t end up using the coupon, but got a decent and affordable salmon dinner and some funnel cake fries! It would have been an 5* had they not gone over kill on the seasoning and fries soaked too long in oil. I will give them another try though!

First, let me say, the young lady at the window with the pink or red hair gave amazing customer service, the food is a WHOLE other story. The cook-wanna-be either had a bad day or is a bonafide horrible cook. All my food was burnt beyond recognition and consumption. The baked potato was undercooked. I threw the food out, bc I was passing through and decided to stop…..bad decision. Check out the pics. This took place on 5.20.25, around 6ish.
