I’ve been to a lot of McDonald’s in my day, but this one right here on Airline, across from the Jefferson Performing Arts Center, is really showing out. The moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t your regular golden arches. They’ve got tribal-style designs running along the walls, bright yellow accents popping everywhere, and the same type of flooring I have at home — so you know I was impressed.
The decor features clean white subway tiles with words like crispy fries and delicious burgers written across them, giving it a modern, almost artsy feel. And the lighting? They’ve got these interactive table lights that flicker and glow like McDonald’s is trying to set the mood for your Quarter Pounder. I said, “Okay McDonald’s, I see you trying to be grown and classy.”
But the best part? They’ve got a big TV inside showing the game. I’ve always said more fast food spots need TVs, so folks can sit, eat, and watch the Saints stress us out all at once. And if you’ve got kids, they’ll love it too — there’s a spotless indoor playground that’s modern, clean, and clearly well-maintained. They even have the safety rules posted, which I appreciated.
I stopped by on a Sunday, and it wasn’t crowded at all. I sat there, watching football with fries in hand, thinking this might be the most peaceful McDonald’s experience in Jefferson Parish history. Who knew I needed a McDonald’s with a TV and a playland to feel this good about life?

I live a few blocks from this location but when I’m out running errands, I often stop by to get a burger and fries. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant, but the burgers look like they are about half the size of other McDonals locations and the fries, if they’re hot, they taste like they’ve been sitting around for a while. I stopped coming here and prefer the Veterans, Clearview or Severn locations. Food is always fresh and the burgers are bigger.

Every time we order they get it wrong. Ask for no cheese they cover it in cheese ask for no onions or lettuce and they drench it in them. Every time we try to give them a chance to fix it they give us nothing but attitudes. Dont even bother getting delivery you’ll never get what you paied for if anything at all. My son is allergic to dairy and this was what they gave him despite asking for no cheese.

The female manager on staff last night was a horrible example of a person, she was rude and aggressive toward me for no reason whatsoever. I felt so sorry for her employees that were looking at me wondering how or why. I do not eat mcdonalds I was picking up for someone else but this woman is not a leader by any means, I even apologized for her to her employees but why is there so much hate and incompetence in businesses? I hope she finds her peace and finds calmness in her lifetime because it must be miserable living so unhappy. And shame on this store for not demanding respect and leadership from their managers .

I don’t know who the cook was the night we went but I had the triple cheeseburger and that thing was on point! It was so perfect. I’m 42 and have NEVER had a burger from McDonald’s like that. My compliments to the staff! Love this location.
