The food & service was excellent. We had Walleye fish fry with German potato salad, Walleye fish fry with French fries. Meals came with cole slaw and garlic bread sticks. Everything was perfect and delicious, served hot. Drinks were great. Server and bartender were super friendly. We will definitely return the next time we’re passing through.

We went here to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. My mom said that they have the best prime rib. So I got the smallest one available, I asked for medium rare, but I don’t think the waitress heard the rare. My prime rib was darker than other family members and honestly it didn’t have that great of flavor. I also got a side of mushrooms for the prime rib and they were awful. I wish that I would have tried the ribeye instead. No idea though if that would have been better. My husband had the ribs and they were dry. My youngest child had a burger. No cheese was on it and she barely ate any of it, she didn’t like it. I tried a bite and also did not care for it. My other kids seemed satisfied with their prime rib and my boys split a prime rib and the lobster tail, now that was enjoyed! They shared a bite with me, it was very good. I had considered ordering the lobster, but my husband told me not to order it. The kids were at a different table so they ordered whatever they wanted.

Always a great meal here. Atmosphere is decorated so cute for the season. I had the baked walleye pike with mash potatoes and gravy & coleslaw. Very good service. We will be back.

We had my mom’s memorial in the Boxcar room. Everything was fabulous. 17 adults and 8 children and not one of us found anything that we would have changed. We had “family style buffet” with the broasted chicken and the tenderloin tips. Both delicious! The sides were excellent along with the Cesar salad. We needed 2 vegetarian meals that were delivered at the perfect time and looked very appealing. It was a pleasure to work with Julie. She and the staff made sure we had everything we wanted. The updates they made to the inside and outside of the building are beautiful! I was thanked by my family for finding the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and environment. Everyone was very friendly and we were well served. It’s a bit pricey, bit you’re paying for quality food. We got the buffet and they definitely did a great job with it.
