I cannot say enough good things about MEHFIL RESTAURANT. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-notch.
The Food:
In a word: awesome. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I specifically recommend the [insert specific dish name], which was easily the highlight of the meal.
The Service:
The service was excellent—attentive without being intrusive. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and were incredibly friendly throughout the evening.
The Atmosphere:
What really sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. The owner and the staff were genuinely generous and welcoming. It didn’t feel like just another transaction; it felt like we were guests in their home. It is rare to find that kind of warmth in a restaurant these days.
I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you are looking for great food and even better people!
Right from the start, the cleanliness was unacceptable. When entering from the back hallway, there was toilet paper tissue scattered on the floor. At the front register, there were used plates and unclean items sitting around, chairs were messy, and there was even hair on our tablecloth. This immediately made us uncomfortable and set the tone for the rest of the visit.
To make matters worse, multiple people were seen coming in, standing and waiting for around 10 minutes, and then leaving because no one acknowledged them or offered assistance.
After ordering, we waited 45 minutes for our food. It genuinely seemed like only one person was working the floor, which we can understand is difficult especially on New Year’s Day, a busy holiday. This is definitely not the staff’s fault, but rather a case of poor management overall, which led to a huge delay in service.
When the food finally arrived, the service issues continued. We were given our mixed grill with no condiments, and our naan was brought out before the salan, which didn’t arrive until about 5 minutes later. Everything felt disorganized and poorly coordinated. On top of that, a biryani we had ordered for here at the start of the meal ended up being so delayed that we were forced to get it packed and take it home instead. We ordered 2 cups of chai and waited 30 mins after our meal and were told countless times it was being made and almost ready until we were finally told there’s actually no milk to even make the tea.
When the food was finally complete, the quality was not what we expected at all. Given the heavy promotion and hype, the food was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the wait or the overall experience.
Overall, this was a huge letdown from what was expected. We will not be coming back and do not recommend this place.
Server didn’t showed up for order taking 20 minutes after we were seated, have to get up and request them to take the order
Server took the order without asking for any drinks have to go back to counter and pick up my own drinks
Food was served 50 minutes after the order was taken.
Food came one dish at a time, cold and salty chicken tikka masala, cold biryani without any Raita
They forgot to serve Naan bread have to go back at the counter to request my bread order and it was served almost when meal was finished
Owner or Manager was busy taking pictures of the place but don’t care about food and service even we complained
Finally check was presented after several requests, server took my credit card and disappear for 15 minutes, have to get up again to find server and most importantly my credit card
Will definitely not recommend to anyone, don’t waste your time and hard earned money at very disorganized location there are much better options available in the neighborhood
The menu offers a variety of classic dishes, but the Shinwari Karahi is in a league of its own. Cooked with minimal spices to let the natural flavor of the meat shine through, the karahi is prepared in traditional style using only fresh tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, and a touch of salt. The meat is incredibly tender and served piping hot in a cast iron wok, just the way it’s meant to be.
What sets Mehfil’s Shinwari Karahi apart is its simplicity and depth of flavor complemented by freshly baked naan or chapati.
The ambiance is inviting, the service is quick and courteous, and the food speaks for itself. Whether you’re dining with family or catching up with friends, Mehfil Restaurant is the perfect spot—and their mix BBQ grill along with lamb chops are must!
Our personal favorite was the fried fish, it was fresh, tender and tasty.
Lassi and Chai was a hit too. However, I did find these two items to be a little overpriced.
Karahi was good in quantity and taste.
The cherry on top was the good service! Everyone that served us was very friendly, kind and helpful.
Had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it for family dine in.
