Social Profile:

In our modern day culture of immediacy and convenience where chain restaurants, fast food and instant gratification are the norm, we find ourselves craving the out of the ordinary, the unique, the thoughtful destination. We want to feel adventurous and be treated special. And at HERE we aim to do just that. The lounge, owned by Julie Doyle — co-founder/manager of musical groups Tripping Daisy, The Polyphonic Spree, and local fave store, Good Records (next door), promises to whisk guests away into another place and time. The decor at HERE is inviting and chic: casual enough for your post work happy hour and yet dapper enough to channel your inner mad men cocktail party. The room features a large photo mural by Rainer Judd.

Swanky neighborhood joint focusing on house cocktails & food from a small but well-appointed menu.

Ordered the deviled eggs, charcuterie board, buttermilk biscuits and sausage, fried French toast, and chicken fried steak stack. We also ordered some cocktails. The deviled eggs were very bland. They were supposed to have hot sauce on them. Only 2 eggs had a small drizzle. The charcuterie board was simple, but everything meshed well. I would order it again. Personally, I do not like biscuits and gravy. Everyone else really liked it. The French toast, battered and fried, was not dense. The blueberry syrup was not overly sweet. I took a small bite, and then another, and then another. I really liked it. The chicken fried steak was hands down the best thing we ordered. They use Panko for the breading, and it works. The eggs well cooked well. The duck fat gravy was very tasty and creamy. The cfs is definitely in my top 3. The cocktails were ok. The mimosas were strong, but they were not consistent on taste. My bloody Mary was ok. I wished it had been spicy, even a little. I don’t know what mix they used, but it was a bit bland. In their defense, we walked in right as they opened. Maybe they were caught off guard because the place was dead the entire time we were there. Maybe 2-3 other tables? It’s a shame because brunch was fantastic. The restaurant has a lot of charm and beautiful. I love dimly lit places. I’m definitely coming back for dinner. The place was very clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They need a little work on their drinks, but nothing that would keep me away.

LOVE this place! Second time coming and the experience was again top tier! For drinks we got the Vampiro and old fashion ( I’d like to point out I have never liked old fashions and this is the first that I enjoyed and drank it, so yummy and flavorful) and the vampiro is so unique. It’s like a refreshing light Bloody Mary.

The food was amazing! We got the wings, mussels, pimento cheese, goat cheese jam and crab toast, Mac and cheese Brussels sprouts, and parm fries. All were solid 10/10. My boyfriend said the wings were some of the best he’s had. You can tell everything is made fresh in house.

Finally the service was top notch, everyone was so friendly, one of the waitresses actually remembered my friend and I coming a few weeks back which was such a great touch! I Wil be a regularly coming back! Great establishment with great atmosphere!

I’ve been a patron of Lounge since it opened in 2017, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite places in the city. The atmosphere is effortlessly chic and welcoming, the drinks are consistently excellent, and the staff always makes you feel taken care of without it ever feeling stuffy or overdone.

What really sets Lounge apart is the consistency—year after year it maintains its vibe, quality, and attention to detail, which is rare. Whether I’m meeting friends, hosting out-of-town guests, or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind, Lounge is always a go-to.

If you’re looking for a sophisticated, stylish, and genuinely great experience in Dallas, Lounge is a must.

My best friend and I rarely get to see each other because we live in different cities, so this dinner was supposed to be special. She was excited to take me to her favorite restaurant in Dallas and made a reservation for Saturday, 1/31/26 at 6:30 PM for two people.

We arrived exactly at 6:30 PM for our reservation, only to be told our table wasn’t ready. Fine—we’ve both worked in the service industry and understand things happen. We were happy to wait a few minutes for them to reset our table. But the table directly to our right had been seated before we arrived and was still there afterward, which becomes important later.

We ordered drinks and an appetizer and took our time catching up. Around the 45 minute mark, we ordered dinner, which came out almost immediately. Our server was great—no issues there.
The problem was the hostess.

At 7:53 PM — and yes, I checked the time because I was genuinely stunned — the hostess approached our table and ONLY our table to say they were busy and were hoping to “flip the table soon.” At this point, we had already asked for the check and had a to go box visibly sitting on the table.

Let me be clear:
We had a 6:30 PM reservation, arrived on time, and were seated late.
And by 7:53 PM, barely an hour and twenty minutes after arrival, we were being pressured to leave.

Meanwhile, the table next to us — who had been there longer, had finished their meals, and were simply babysitting drinks — was not approached at all. Not a word. They were left completely alone.

We were the only table singled out, and it was blatant.
This behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for an establishment my friend has supported for so long. I cannot comprehend why a hostess would think it’s appropriate to rush out a table with a reservation, especially when other tables who had overstayed us were untouched.

Not only will I never return, but I sincerely hope my best friend reconsiders supporting a place she has frequented for so long, only to be treated this way. I’m truly appalled, and the overall experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.

3 stars. The food was well-seasoned and flavorful, and the cocktails were solid. However, when we received the check, several prices didn’t match what was listed on the menu. We brought it up to our server, but it was essentially laughed off with a comment that the menus had “just been printed,” and there was no apology or adjustment. I’d recommend double-checking your bill.

Always a great time at Lounge Here. It’s atmosphere has an upscale mid-mod vibe. The hospitality is gracious and they’re generally very knowledgeable regarding the menu offerings. Food and drink selection is on par with more expensive restaurants. This is a great place for a date night or special occasion.

Went here last week on a date. It was just lovely. We had the fried green tomatoes, and the cartoucherie board. Both were absolutely amazing. Service was top notch. Martinis were strong. ❤️

Let’s start off with the good!

Service, ambiance, and atmosphere were pretty good. It is a good place to talk and vibe out with someone over a drink.

The food could use some work.

The shrimp were pretty good from the shrimp and grits, but the grits were undercooked, and the sauce lacked depth of flavor.

The mussels were just ok.

The devil eggs have the potential of being really good, but the hot sauce on top overpowers the devil eggs. Little less would be more for this appetizer.

This is a boutique and intimate dining experience. There is no sign or name on the building. It had a speak easy sort of feel to the restaurant. The atmosphere is laid back but yet exquisite. The staff was great and the food and drinks were amazing. I recommend the chicken fried steak. It’s unbelievably delicious.
You need to make reservations.
I really liked it and look forward to visiting again.
