I’ve been looking forward to coming to the Blitzen’s pop-up for the last couple years, but never made it in. Finally made it there this evening with a good friend of mine after a 43 day work streak and the bartender threatened to not serve me if I ordered a double. Very disappointing and likely won’t come back next year.

This place was cool. The atmosphere was awesome. There were a lot of cool decorations, and the ambiance was spot on. This is a place you need to visit before the season is over.

Just had the best elote chicken wings, crunch wrap and Grinch punch at this must see Christmas pop up bar in Southwest Detroit. Where else can you get Christmas+tacos+sushi. The owners have been pioneers to the growth of Detroit’s food scene since the the automotive Big 3 crisis. Opening Green Dot Stables; they believed in the growth of our city when people were losing hope. There creative ideas and passion have brought smiles and joy to our bellies. This season support local and support them because they are awesome humans.

As a pop up bar, it certainly gets the job done. Great selection of beer, and the cocktails I had were nice and strong. I think it’s cool that they rebrand for every season/holiday. The Valentine’s theme is on point. I just wish they used glass drinkware or had a recycling bin, or something. The cocktails are served in plastic/paper cups that all go in the trash.

I’ve been going to this pop up every year for every seasonal pop up. The drinks are always inexpensive, the decor gets better and better each year. Also how can you pass up getting goblin sushi from next door.

Came here on Halloween night, and although the decorations were nice, the drinks were not really “spooky” and the dj wasn’t great. The separation of space also doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. It was nice to see, but I don’t think I’d be back.

My drink tasted like cough syrup. Decorations looked like they cleaned out my gramma’s basement. They didn’t even have cute cups for the bad drinks. Not good.
