Very disappointed with Koto. The sushi quality was far below expectations — rice was dry, fish didn’t taste fresh, and the presentation looked messy. The rolls fell apart easily, and some dishes were served cold when they should have been warm. Service was slow and not friendly. Definitely not worth the price. I attached some pictures so others can see the actual food we received.

Honestly If I could give zero stars all around, I would. I ordered lunch from here today before I had to go in to work. My daughter was home sick so we doordashed our food. I was in the middle of eating my dynamite roll when i felt something gross inside the roll. It was a long black piece of hair. I was absolutely disgusted. and then when I thought things couldn’t have gotten any worse, my son bit into something weird in his edamame. He pulled it out of his mouth only to find a worm sticking out of his edamame. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. The manager basically had zero empathy, his tone was very dismissive and he just said “uh okay sorry about that, i’ll tell the chef to be more careful”, stuttered a few more times and then said “bye”. Not that I will ever eat here again, but he didn’t even try to make it right. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE for as expensive as the food is here. I’m not usually a Karen, but this was definitely warranted.

Sushi is good but not great-
Mango madness- if you like mango in your sushi this was great per my friends.
Ocean Melody meets my expectations- great! The right mix of flavors of sweet eel sauce with crunchy shrimp and spicy crabmeat.
Sunrise Roll was poor- no flavor and mushy texture
The lobster ragoon was not fried long enough and one had no filling.
You cannot mess up the salad with ginger dressing..
I’m half korean half american so I have high standards for Asian food…

What a great hustling team. We tried to go Valentine’s Day but it was slammed so we can back a week later. Saturday night. Entire team “running”and doing their best. Servers overall good mood for how buys the place was. We enjoyed it. Hibachi was great. Thank you

The food was great and very fulfilling. The cook made it feel very welcoming and made everyone laugh with his jokes and tricks especially with the kids. We had the Florida sushi roll which was very good it was a special and I had the samurai special (replaced my chicken with scallops for $5 extra). The only thing that was bad was the service charge because we were not aware there would have been one and it was 18% of your bill.

It’s hard to find great sushi outside the city but Koto has managed to do just that. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere with a full menu. Can’t wait to stop by next time I’m out in Elkhart.

Me and my family’s first visit. The idea of eating sushi never appealed to me, but I’m getting to an age where I want to try new things.

Server was professional, but lacked personality. I’m not implying he was unfriendly, but part of an enjoyable dining experience for me is having a server who is personable and outgoing.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. $28 (not including tip) fed three of us and we didn’t leave hungry.

The interior has a nice, warm feel with plenty of seating.

Again, the food is very good. Whether this is your first time eating sushi or you’re a seasoned veteran, I’d recommend you give them a try.

i’ve had really bad sushi from here on more than one occasion and over the span of many years. it’s hard to forget the taste of putrid fish and rotten cream cheese. i tried to give them another chance but I’d rather go to the fast food places nearby. i hate to give bad reviews but i don’t even understand how the ingredients for the sushi could consistently be so repugnant

3rd visit- 12:22- once again, it did not disappoint. Springs were delicious as always, Beef negimaki was also good although a bit different. Very nice flavors throughout although the beef itself was flavorless. However, the combination of everything else complements it somewhat. Orange chicken was good, nothing fancy about it but just a good sauce and flavor. Overall, a very good experience with the food, friendly service, reasonable prices and still have clean restrooms.

2nd visit on a Wednesday evening 8/14. Fast and friendly service. Tom Yum soup is still delicious. Trex, Pink lady just as good as last time. Reasonable prices, still have clean bathrooms. Spring roll was delicious.

First visit, (2023) Friday evening, somewhat busy, we did not do the Hibachi. Egg rolls were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Fried perfectly, not too greasy and flavored well. The chicken Tom Yum soup had a perfect balance of flavors and spice. If you’re not used to spicy food it will “mildly” hit you. Trex roll and pink lady roll were amazing. T. rex had a nice fried crunch on the outside, the sauce was delicious. The pink lady although raw was delicious as well. Chicken fried rice was different but delicious, not as greasy as what you’d find at your local Chinese take out location and maybe not as flavorful but the flavors it had were a perfect balance as well. Server was rushed at times but attentive. Nice ambiance, clean restrooms, we were thanked on our way out. Reasonable prices. Good experience overall.
