4.5 stars. I’m not the biggest of seafood fans, but I couldn’t pass on the seafood buffet. I’m glad that I got it. Everything was good, the pork shoulder (yes it was included with the seafood buffer) was amazing, and I couldn’t eat enough of the blackened Mahi Mahi. The only disappointment is that the buffet had no dessert. The staff was fantastic, we had a group of 19 people and the service did nor miss.

Such a cute and cozy restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. As a solo diner I usually expect to be sat in an undesirable table (smallest, in the corner, by the bathroom, or at the counter)… not here, they walked me by the two top and to a normal table. So grateful! The fried mushrooms were yummy (good amount, too many for just me). The salad bar was well stocked and clean. I didn’t get soup or either of the all you can eat bars (I don’t eat that much), but the Ribeye and French fries were delicious. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal!

I go here once a week usually. I normally get the bar which is good. But this time I ordered from the menu. It was very good cooked to order the way I ask. I would definitely order this again. When you get the bar don’t forget to ask for dessert. It’s not on the bar but that and the salad bar comes with it. Hot box to keep the bread warm rolls and cornbread muffins. Normally butter and sauce for the food slaw on the one bar main course sides on the other. They have a soup of the day near the salad bar. Friendly people. Worth the trip.

Home cooking at it’s best! I’m not normally thrilled about a buffet but this is definitely an exception for me. We’ve been dining here for years and love Fireplace! We usually dine here Sunday after church service is over. Sometimes just a few of us and sometimes a whole crowd. Either way they take excellent care of us.
There are three dining rooms for the seating. The buffet consists of a salad bar and two hot buffet lines. Lots of choices of delicious food from which to choose.
There’s something about classic home cooking that takes me back to my childhood and those awesome flavors I remember. The fried chicken is the best around!
The staff have always been kind and welcoming to us and Gina has served us with a smile for a long time. It feels like going home.

We were deeply disappointed with our breakfast experience. When we walked in, there was no hostess and no sign saying to wait to be seated. We walked in and asked someone who worked there if we should just seat ourselves and she said we should just get a plate and go to the buffet, so we did. We then found a table, but there was no silverware. It took at least ten minutes to flag down a waitress, and when we did, she gave us attitude. My dining partner made a comment in a stage whisper that she had been scolded by the waitress and “there went her tip.” The waitress apparently heard this and changed her tune and brought us silverware and coffee. But by then, our food was stone cold. But, I had nibbled on a piece of bacon and a piece of country ham right after we got to the table and they were not particularly hot. When I went back to get a couple of other items, they were not particularly hot either. The country ham was good, the biscuits were excellent, but otherwise, the food was disappointing. Because she changed her tune, we did end up leaving a tip, more because we know how hard a server’s job is, than because of the quality of the service. We would not go back.

We had Sunday breakfast buffet at The Fireplace and found many dishes to choose from. My husband said the grits were very good, choosing plain grits over the cheesy grits. There were several styles of breakfast potatoes, eggs any way you wanted them prepared by the “egg chef”, along with a big dish of scrambled eggs. Bacon, ham, sausage, pork tenderloin, gravy, eggs Benedict, fresh fruit salad, toast, big biscuits, a tray of sweet breakfast treats, and nice looking pancakes. I’m sure I missed other dishes on the 2 large buffets. There is also a menu to choose other options. If your looking for a good Sunday breakfast, you must try this restaurant. Prices are quite reasonable. We knew it had to be good because so many of the law enforcement personnel were eating there. Those folks know where to find good food. Definitely going back when we’re in Asheville.
Enjoy!

We tried their Sunday a.m. breakfast buffet. Good decision. Extensive food choices in the steam tables plus a chef doing eggs anyway you want. Clean, prompt, everything you could expect. We’ll go again.

Amazing food, great price, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Ribs fell right off bone and came with tasty hush puppies as a nice surprise. Husband loved grouper sandwich. Everything was very good. Por h is pet friendly. Liked it so much. Went back next day to try buffet which offered 4 meat choices, excellent potato soup, separate salad bar and strawberry cobbler- all for $12 per person senior rate, a dollar less than regular without having to ask for discount. Highly recommend The Fireplace restaurant!

Been here a few times for weekday lunch buffet. The salad bar is my favorite thing. They also have good American classics such as fried chicken, meatloaf, sausage, and soups. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

We visited this restaurant at 4:30 on Saturday. It was the only restaurant I could find with a Prime Rib. The 16 oz Prime Rib was delicious and my wife enjoyed the Hawaiian Chicken. The service was lightening fast and Susie was an excellent waitress for us. I’ll definitely be going back when we visit Asheville again!
