We were on our way to visit the caverns when we noticed this cozy little Mexican restaurant nearby and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, and instantly gives off a welcoming vibe. The staff was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We were served by this very lovely and kind lady, she is the best!
They started us off with complimentary nachos and salsa, which were delicious; the chips weren’t greasy at all, and the salsa was so flavorful and addicting that we kept reaching for more. For my meal, I ordered the veggie fajitas. They arrived sizzling hot, full of flavor, and came with beans and rice on the side. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying.
One tip if you love spice: try their red chili hot sauce. It adds the perfect kick and takes the dishes to another level. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

We had a very positive experience at Camino Real. We stopped by for dinner on a Sunday evening at 8:15 PM, mistakenly thinking they closed at 9 PM, but their Sunday closing time is 8 PM. However, the owner graciously welcomed us in and assured us they could still serve us.
We ordered the Chile Verde, Enchiladas Suizas combo, and some tacos. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous; neither of us could finish our meals. The restaurant itself has a warm and authentic atmosphere, and the staff was attentive and friendly.
I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious Mexican food with an authentic homemade taste! The fish tacos and chicken flautas were amazing! The beans, rice, chips, and salsa were perfect. The owner shared that these were his grandmother’s recipes and that comes through in the amazing flavors. Staff were personable and welcoming. Our first visit will not be our last!

We were greeted warmly when we walked in. The server has a great sense of humor. Taco shells were clearly home made along with the enchilada sauce. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was not spicy like most restaurants. Give this place a try like we did.

Despite all my trips to New Market, I’d never tried this place until recently and I’m so glad I finally did. The food was delicious, the kind of comforting, flavorful Mexican you immediately want to come back for. The service was quick, and our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and FUNNY! which made the whole experience even better.
The prices were affordable ($9 lunch special (2 enchiladas or chimichanga, or burrito etc) with rice, beans, chips, salsa, guac, etc) for the quality and portions, so it felt like a great value from start to finish. I also loved the old-school Mexican vibe inside; the decor is warm, nostalgic, and genuinely charming without feeling cheesy. This spot is now a must-visit for me every time I’m in New Market—truly a win all around.

Absolutely delicious meal! My husband and I were traveling and happened to see this restaurant when we exited for gas. We got the beef taco salad and the beef taco/chicken tamale combo and everything was gone before I could take a picture. The owners and staff were so gracious and attentive. And the inside is decorated beautifully for a wonderful atmosphere. If we lived in town, this would be a regular spot for us.

Great local spot for some quality Mexican fare! Margaritas were top notch, had some real spicy hot sauces right at the table for you to try, their queso was great as well.
