As someone who’s been coming with their family for years, I can say this place really lives up to the hype! The food is incredible, coffee always fresh, and the vibes immaculate. Their boss is one of the friendliest people I know, and always helps her staff and runs the place to the best of its potential. It’s thanks to her we can still enjoy a good old Buddies Bagel, and I can’t thank her enough!

The food is always fresh, their coffee is amazing and reminds me when I would get a coffee at the corner store in the Bronx. The staff is always super friendly but the reason for the 4 stars is after leaving there just 5 minutes ago is because as I was waiting for my food the manager was talking extremely rude to her employees like they were savages. While people were in the dinning room as well not able to enjoy their food because the manager wants to put on a disrespectful show and telling her staff to stop talking when they were only expressing how they are being talked to. If you are a bagel snob, this is your spot. I’ve done the drives and tried the shops, and I can honestly say that outside of Manhattan, these are the best bagels you will find within a 2-hour radius of home. They have that perfect, authentic NY chew and crust that most places just can’t replicate.
The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and they don’t cut corners on quality. Whether you’re grabbing a dozen or a breakfast sandwich, it’s worth every mile of the trip. A total gem for the area!

Absolute Lifsaver! Best Bagels AND Staff in Town!
Buddy’s Bagels is already a weekly (sometimes twice-weekly!) staple in our house, but today they went above and beyond. My other half usually places our order, so I was just going through the motions: one cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with cheesesteak, and one onion bagel toasted with cheesesteak.
When I pulled up to the window, the amazing employee asked, “Do you want the raw onions on that onion bagel?” I paused, realizing that might be a specific request I had forgotten. A quick phone call home confirmed it—I was about to bring back the wrong order, and I would have been in big trouble!
I am so incredibly grateful to the staff member who was paying such close attention. She remembered our usual order even though I’m rarely the one planning it and picking it up and took the initiative to double-check with me. That’s not just good service; that’s awesome customer service. She literally saved my butt this morning! I didn’t have any cash on me, but we will absolutely be leaving a generous tip on our next visit to show our appreciation.
Thank you, Buddy’s Bagels, for not only having delicious bagels(and pickles) but also for having a fantastic team that truly looks out for your customers!

Buddies is SUPER!!!! I pulled up 5 min before closing time( sorry). I got friendly fast service with a pleasant tone and a beautiful smile. The bagel cold cut I ordered was absolutely the BEST!!! The bagel was packed with meat and all the fixings I ordered. They are not cheap here when it comes to giving you top shelf bagels and the sandwiches. I highly recommend Buddies!! Ooh it’s definitely affordable too.

I absolutely love buddies bagels, never have had an issue with their food or their employees but today I’ve been so disappointed. I was running late from work and grabbed my bagel to go, I get to work to enjoy my delicious bagel for breakfast and just to my surprise I found a hair in my bagel. This is extremely disappointing and absolutely disgusting this was my only breakfast for the day just for me to throw such good food out.

Everyone was friendly and the sandwich was good. Nothing special about the visit. They would have gotten 5 stars if the place was clean. I understand that places get busy, but there was one person inside and no one in the drive thru. The floors in the dining room and kitchen area were a mess.

I usually come here to get food with my family. I don’t have too much to say about the food, it was as expected as I come with family quite often throughout the week. What i do have a lot to say about, is the employees. I was waiting for my food when I noticed workers using what I assume to be vapes or whatever they’re called. One of them was this bigger girl and the other was shorter and blonde. I noticed they kept passing it back and forth one was bigger and one was much smaller. I might be old but I’m not stupid I know the smaller one Is a weed vape. I tried to call about this incident but no one answered. It genuinely hurts to see the youth doing these kinds of activities while unchecked at work in front of children. What honestly hurts the most is to see management act so careless towards this, to be fair they’re probably busy yelling at their employees as usual. Over the last few years I have slowly noticed the increase in mistreatment towards their employees, but as of recently it is completely out of hand. I can not bringing the young ones to eat here while other kids are getting absolutely humiliated for making the mistakes. Management replies on many posts like these saying “that’s just how she is” but that is unexceptionable, i would never treat my grandbabies like that nor would i want someone to treat them like that. I understand that with being a boss you must discipline especially with their age, but a line has to be drawn to where it becomes way too much. How can one curse out a child and brush it off by saying “that’s how she is” or “she’s just loud”, that’s not just loud!!! You’ve lost a family worth of customers!!!!

This is one of the best places to get a bagel in Hazleton by far. In fact it’s the only place to get a bagel in hazleton if you don’t know buddies you don’t know bagels they sell delicious lunchtime sandwiches as well as breakfast sandwiches with bagels. Ask for Katie she is by far the best bagel person you’ll ever meet most likely the best in the biz.

I’ve always had a great experience here! I’ve never been a bagel person, but these are good, especially a Pastrami on Rye with provolone and yellow mustard! The workers are always pleasant too, which is a plus!
