Had a very disturbing encounter here at the Papa John’s Location in Lincoln, IL at 7:45pm.
We ordered two orders of wings and a medium pizza, splitting the payments between two cards. The transaction didn’t go thru however was still charged. When we calmly asked about getting our money refunded so that we could pay, the employee handling the register immediately became hostile. Instead of checking the system or trying to resolve the issue professionally he started cursing at us and insisted he didn’t owe us money back for what was charged. The situation escalated unnecessarily and at one point threw a Mountain Dew bottle on the ground out of frustration. Mistakes with payments can happen, that’s undesirable, what’s not acceptable is the unprofessional behavior, profanity toward customers and an aggressive reaction when simply asking about a charge that went through. This experience was completely unacceptable and need to be addressed by management.
The gentlemen did not have a name tag nor would give out his name. Was Caucasian with glasses. He definitely does not need to be handling anyone’s orders nor should be allowed to be even being close to any food.

ordered $60-$70 worth of pizza weekly from here since opening and everything was fine until last night. I got home and realized my 3 orders of garlic sticks were plain. no biggie, drove back showed the employee, who said, “yeah, they definitely went light on the garlic with those.” He was kind and offered to remake them. I asked if they could remake the entire order since now it would be 2 hours after the product is done that it’ll finally be ready. He went and got I’m assuming what was a manager, she looked at the sticks, with a straight face, squinted and pointed at the 2 little black dots covering all 12 sticks and said, “what’s wrong with them? these little black specs are garlic.” realizing, just by her mannerisms and comments that customer service doesn’t come first here and she wasn’t going to make it right. we left and threw our $63 worth of cold plain pizza in the garbage and reordered fresh pizza across the street from domino’s. This is a place to avoid, they’re always right. And believe me, it takes a lot for me to complain.

Ordered an XL New York Style pizza with beef. I thought the bigger pizza just might have toppings to fill the larger space. Not so. The normal measure of ingredients were just spread over a larger area. Disappointed.

You order food and their app tells you it’s on the way. It’s not. They lie to you and tell you it’s on the way only for 30 minute later you check their app and they tell you your order has been cancelled. No phone call. No text. Just the app saying it’s canceled. Perhaps they shouldn’t have outsourced their delivery to door dash. Don’t trust this establishment. They’ll let you down as well.

Papa John’s never disappoints! I had the Supreme Pizza, and it was absolutely delicious—loaded with fresh toppings, flavorful sauce, and a perfectly baked crust. Great tasting pizza and always reliable for a satisfying meal.

We ordered the works and a 2 topping. The 2 top was basically uneatable. I think we may have gotten the wrong pizza. Overall, for the money, and not being able to eat it, we are very disappointed. Very disappointed.

I ordered pizza from them July either 3rd or 4th and tonight July 8th and both times the service and food have been amazing, the 1st 1 there was only 1 worker on duty and no drivers or other employees but a women working and she worked her butt off due to high volume of orders and got me taken care of fast and the food was just right, tonight was quick and good I ordered it at 9:10pm and it was delivered at 9:27pm Dominos can’t compete with that! Papa Johns needs to be more appreciated for their service and food! Will forever be a customer!

Went to pick up a double DoorDash order for delivery. After waiting several minutes for anyone to actually come to the front to even see why I was there. I gave the names of the orders, they go to check on them, and tell me that they’re still working on one of them so I say that’s fine and I’ll just wait. They then tell me that no, I have to go deliver the one that is already ready, drive back to the store, and then deliver the other order. In my 3.5 years of delivering for DoorDash, I’ve never been asked to do this, let alone even heard of something like this happening. I tell them that there is no way of doing that on my app, to which the person responded that in fact no, it should be there as an option on my dashboard that is pulled up by clicking on the three dots. I proceed to click it, and lo and behold, it only shows me my current orders and where they are supposed to be delivered to. I tell her that there is no option for me to do that, she says there is, and then starts questioning how long I’ve been doing DoorDash. I told her, “years”, and then she continues to insist that I have to only take one order at a time, and either figure out how to temporarily skip the unprepared order or just drop it. I told her that in that case, I’ll just drop both orders, and I left. I will admit, there is probably some weird roundabout way of delivering orders like that, but DoorDash leaves that to the discretion of the driver, not the store. DoorDash drivers are considered independent contractors, and I was being treated like an employee who had to do things their specific way. She also said something about not having their own drivers at this store anymore (not sure if they ever did at this location, but that’s beside the point), and that she has to use DoorDash drivers now, definitely viewing them as her employees rather than what is more like a middle-man between the store and the customer. Rather than let one order sit for a few minutes and then hand over both orders, her actions and behavior led me to dropping the orders, and I imagine both orders went cold. If someone at this store is reading this, block me from your end on DoorDash so that I’ll never see orders for your store again. This isn’t even the first time I’ve had to drop an order from here, as when they first opened, they had several orders (one of which I accepted) and then told me that they were closed, despite several employees standing in the store and the fact that the store was supposed to be open for another 3 hours. And remember, these drivers are often your customers as well, so when you treat them this poorly, you lose a customer and future sales. I’m not eating from here ever again. I already received poor service as a customer when their app told me my food was ready despite me having to wait another 20 minutes upon arrival, but this complete disrespect from someone deciding that she gets to be my boss makes me never want to return here. For literally any other pizza in Lincoln, might I suggest Guzzardo’s, Sorrento’s, Stuffed-Aria, Joe’s Pizza, or literally even the Domino’s across the street. They’re all better quality and you’ll actually feel like you’re being treated like a human being. You’re better off just swinging by the store and getting a frozen pizza rather than going here.
Edit: What gives you the audacity to put an ad for your terrible pizza under my windshield wiper while I’m parked at Walmart? Don’t touch a stranger’s car, especially to advertise your horrible business.

Like all new places in Lincoln, they’re going to be busy right out of the gate. I’m not a moron so I planned ahead. I placed my order online for a scheduled 5pm delivery. It arrived right at 5
And the driver was super friendly… Off to a good start. The pizza was definitely hot and fresh, It’s fast food pizza, but still really good for what it is, especially the stuffed crust. My only complaint is I feel like the pricing is high, that could just be me. A large stuffed crust and small two topping with bread sticks was $40. I’ll definitely be adding to the local pizza rotation.
