Unpretentious solid Indian place. The dining area is small but warm, although as a local I usually do takeout so I can enjoy their food in my pajamas.
The curries are better than the biryanis IMO due to being moister. The goan fish curry, the lamb karahi, and their vegetarian curries are all good. Highly recommend splurging for the peas pulao as well. Bread-wise I like the parathas.

Indian Summer is a great spot in Harlem if you’re craving flavorful Indian food. The outdoor seating is a nice touch, especially on a warm day, and the service was quick and attentive. I tried the salmon tikka and the Goan fish curry both were excellent, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth coming back for another meal here.

Absolutely delicious! Tried it for takeout many times, then came here for dinner. Flavors are incredi, the garlic bread is to die for. Very very highly recommended.

These guys don’t know how to cook. Bland, no salt, no flavor unseasoned food. Samosa chat and Paneer masala apps. Was my 2nd seamless order. Not ordering again. Food is not meant for Indian diaspora.

I called ahead to ask which curry had food color, and they confidently recommended the Paneer Makhani. Big mistake. When it arrived, it looked nothing like the real thing — just Google what Paneer Makhani is supposed to look like.
Most Indian restaurants in the U.S. (especially in the South, not NY) throw in a bit of color to make dishes look “Indian,” but this one went all out. The dish had maybe five tiny pieces of paneer — all bright pink, thanks to the food dye — and that pretty much killed my mood and appetite.
It tasted like pasta sauce mixed with sugar and a dash of regret. Honestly, you’ve probably got all the ingredients at home already, and since there’s barely any paneer, you won’t miss much by skipping this place. Save your money — and your taste buds

Excellent Indian food! The curry and naan were amazing. We got it extra spicy and it was perfect. The restaurant was small and cozy. Service was really friendly too!

The appetizers were really delicious and tasty. The service was very nice. The dishes were flavorful and plentiful. The only complaint was that my cocktail was very weak and boring.

My girlfriends and I came in a Sunday atmosphere. It was perfect for chatting and dining. The music was tasteful and a reasonable volume, the service was quick and tasty and our server took the time to explain things to us we had questions about. The only downside was naan not automatically included.. but I imagine the economy and inflation caused that. I will definitely go again!

I’m giving this a five for the food only because we ordered for delivery for the wonderful Door Dash. Next time we’re up in Harlem we will dine in. I’m just gonna say this once since we ordered so much food as you can see in the photograph. You could feed an army! Regarding spice levels ask for what you want not what you expect. Everything, and I mean absolutely everything was extremely delicious and tasty! All I want….Is MORE!

Great food. Minus the salad. Everything else was excellent. The lady was lovely and providing some great recommendations for Indian cuisine. I wanted to try something different the usually tandoori or butter chicken. It was worth the risk. Loved everything. Definitely going back
