Great customer service, great food , nice atmosphere but they need a second person helping customer’s orders. One very nice young lady is not enough for the number of customers that were there today. I stop here every time on my way up to SLO from San Diego. I always get the 2 chilly cheese dogs , fries, jalapeños wrapped in bacon and a coke and haven’t been disappointed yet. Ssso good, not even playing.

Super cool hot dog and fast food place run by friendly and enthusiastic staff. I was intimidated going in as there were noisy people but I relaxed quickly. The food was delicious with good portions at good value. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be checking it out.

Been coming to Dave’s Dogs since around 2015 or 2016, back when they were still just a hot dog cart out on Milpas during my college days. My friend Chandler told me this was the late-night move, and man… that first time changed the game. Not only was the food fire, but I got to know Dave personally, and he’s been solid since day one. Just a good dude who pours everything into what he does. You could feel it even when it was just him working the cart.
I’ve probably had every dog on the menu at this point, no shame. Back in the day, the Santa Barbara Dog and El Niño Dog were my go-to. Heavy hitters. That mix of flavor, sauce, and crunch? Just unbeatable for a late-night bite.
Fast forward to now, and Dave’s got a full-on shop, crazy menu, full setup, and the food is still just as good, if not better. This time I kept it classic with the sauerkraut dog and chili cheese dog, and bro… come on. They still hit like day one. Sauerkraut had that perfect tang, chili was meaty and rich without being messy, and the buns were soft and toasted just right. I also had the patty melt, and that thing was absolutely bonkers. Like, gone in four bites type of good. Cheese melted right, onions grilled up perfectly, the whole thing was just balanced and rich. Easily one of the best items on the menu. Tried the burger too and yeah… amazing. Simple, juicy, full of flavor. No fluff. And of course, the tater tots and fries are must-haves. Crispy, hot, and seasoned right. Great sides to round it out. Also gotta shout out the horchata. I’m pretty sure it’s house-made and you can taste it. Creamy, sweet but not too sweet, and refreshing enough to cool down from all the savory heat. It’s honestly crazy to see the growth. From a cart on the street to a full-blown Santa Barbara staple. But knowing Dave and the way he works, it makes sense. He earned all of it. This is a local business worth supporting, not just because the food’s amazing, but because the heart behind it is real.
If you have not been to Dave’s Dogs yet, you’re missing out. Pull up, order whatever sounds good, and enjoy. You literally cannot go wrong.

We got 2 hot dogs a Cheeto one and Mac n cheese. I recommend the Alfredo fries, which was a 10/10 they were really good! The hot dogs were alright would’ve preferred for them to have smashed the Cheetos in crumbs though. Had to clean the table myself though since it was a little dirty. Other than that it was pretty good.

Forget Dave’s hot chicken, DAVE’S DOGS is the place to be! I give him 10 stars all the way around! Dave himself is personally there at the register taking orders and he was very kind in telling me about the menu (my first time here from LA), all of the staff was sweet. I ended up getting the #3 Santa Barbara Dog, #15 Pulled Pork Mac and tator tots. AMAZING! I’ve never had anything like this. The Santa Barbara Dog was probably my favorite, the other was good too, and the tator tots were cooked to perfection! Just the right amount of crunchiness and the spicy mayo dip was tasty! The vibe was chill too, the reggae music was a nice touch, and the place was clean. I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area, and hopefully Dave will expand to LA one day soon. I’m leaving satisfied, full and happy. Thanks again Dave. ✌

First time visit, as a local, bc our 11yo grandson told us about it. So fun! and reminded us of the classic hot dog places you can find in Chicago. So many varieties, (and yes, other choices on the menu). They even have a menu just for their awesome fry selection. It’s located right off the freeway, across from the high school, so make sure your weekday visits are before 12:12pm. Lol!

This place is so cool! The service is amazing, and the hot dogs super tasty. My favorite thing on their menu is their corn with hot Cheetos :). Dave is usually around to greet you with a smile, the hot dogs are ready as soon as you order with fresh ingredients. This has definitely become one my favorite spots.

Happened upon this place while on quick family beach weekend.

Quick casual joint with a super-friendly staff.

They’ve got a nice variety of dogs, burgers, and various fries.

We ordered a couple different dogs (Santa Barbara, bbq concoction, a basic kids dog, and a mac and cheese dog). We also tried the asada fries.

Long story short, we’re gonna die a few days sooner, but it was probably worth it. The dogs were ridiculous. The frank was high quality and cooked perfectly. The toppings were proportioned well and the bun nicely grilled/toasted.

Very nicely done all around. Definitely worth a stop for a little bite indulgence.

Dave’s Dog is by far the best place in town to get specialty hotdogs. The staff is always so friendly and nice. Dave himself is always there to make sure that customers are completely taken care of. I do have to say that my guilty pleasure is there deep-fried Oreos, definitely a must try.

This place rocks! For something that started out as a pop-up shop and now has two locations what a fantastic job Dave has done with his business. I really enjoyed their corn dogs, chili dogs and the variety of what you can order is huge,,! They now offer hamburgers and fries topped with anything you want. The tater tots are fantastic.
