Jason’s Deli in Weslaco, TX is consistently great, but the drive-thru really stands out thanks to Erica. She is always pleasant, friendly, and genuinely kind every time I come through. Even on busy days, she keeps a positive attitude and makes the experience smooth and welcoming. Customer service like hers makes a big difference and keeps me coming back. Food is always fresh and accurate too. Highly recommend this location!

First time here at the Weslaco location. Normally I have gone to the one in McAllen and I love their salad bar. So today, we walked in, no greeting, which is becoming pretty normal, I was a little lost as to where to order, so another customer walked up in front of us and was served first. I’m standing there with my tray and an employee attends me by asking what I needed. I told her we wanted two salad bars and two drinks. She gave me the bowls and cups. Then I ask, where do I pay. She tells me, “Oh I thought you had paid already”. I told her no, the lady cut in front of us and was attended before us. I don’t really blame the lady, as no one was giving any kind of direction at the counter. She tells me, “Oh well, the line starts on this side”, which is a like a register away from where I am at. I told her, “Oh sorry, it’s my first time here”. She rings up our total, and as I see the option to tip, it gets bypassed, and it went away, so I swiped my card. I figured maybe they don’t ask for tips for the salad bar. I didn’t check my receipt until I got home (my fault) but when I did, I saw she added her own tip without my approval. I don’t mind tipping, but I believe that should be at my discretion. She tipped herself 20% btw for giving me 2 bowls, 2 cups and snarky customer service. I’m not mad at the amount, but I am upset that she took the decision into her own hands. Salad bar was good, but if this is their norm, I’d rather just order a salad from Olive Garden.

2/17/26 – Today I went by to my local Jason Deli here in weslaco during my lunch time. Keep in mind I only 45 minutes for lunch. Today was a super busy day but the nice lady at the drive- thru was very sweet and kind. I asked for her name and she said Erika. She was able to take my order and move the line along fast with great customer service. Erikas warm smile, patience and knowledge of the menu really helped during the rush of cars and customers. I was able to enjoy my lunch in my break room and clock back in on time.

The food quality has declined. I ordered pasta and it arrived cold. The customer service is present, but they seem forgetful of basic items like spoons, forks, and napkins. The atmosphere is pleasant, and I definitely have better memories of this place. However, this recent visit made me reconsider if those memories were accurate. The food is a 2 out of 10.

Hadn’t been here in a while but the staff and food was great! Good, calm ambience. We usually get the salad bar but today I got the Corn Beef Reuben and a cup of Seafood Gumbo. My husband had the Tuna Melt and a cup of Tomato Basil Soup. And for dessert the Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Cookies. Plus their Blueberry Pomegranate Drink is super yummy!

Bad experience. We order 2 delispecial Reuben smoke meat and it was awful. I ask the lady when i order the lunch if the sandwich was lean. It was not. It was disgusting. I spend around 30$ for this bad experience and i was so disappointed. Not eatable at all.

This 1 star is not for the food , employees or dining area. Yes it is small compared to McAllen. But everything is still good food and good service. The 1 star is for the mens restroom it stinks like sewer and i mean to a dangerous level . 1 employee say it also stink like that in the back where the kitchen is at. It stinks so bad u cant even breath in there. Im very serious . This dangerous for employees and people alike. They need to take care of this fast. 2025 edit: Sewer smell is gone. But food preparation is at all time low. They never follow instructions that r posted on jasons app. Manager says the app is faulty on there end. Jasons call ur webmaster and fix it . If that’s the case. I love to order the build ur own salad and have most of toppings packed in on side in the lil plastic cups they use like for the salad dressing. If they packed all in the salad all on top of the . It will brown out the leaf if not eaten the same day. Usually the salad will last me 3 days. But not when u put the cottage cheese or anything moist that will make the salad soggy it won’t last. I hate to waste food like that. Another take on preparation is presentation. Is it worth ur money? Does it look appetizing? I ordered a chicken mesa and it look bad. Welp.. I love Jason’s. Do better ..

I love their California club sandwich combo with the fruit in a cup accompanied with their delicious fruit dip 100% reccomend plus their broccoli cheddar soup is the best, better than subway’s for sure!
