They have the best ham I’ve ever had. It’s seasoned with brown sugar and maple. The steak was perfectly cooked and plenty tender. The shrimp were large and the flavor came through even with the breading. The Lobster was a tasty add-on and at a great price. The server was excellent. She asked if we needed anything several times. We were never without a refill on drinks or anything else. I will be frequenting Golden Corral regularly, even though I live far away, in Grover Beach.

It is a buffet restaurant so you can expect that food are just the average , not gourmet, not super special, not specialty dining kind of a place. Now that wr have that expectation, Golden Corral is a good place for a buffet restaurant, I’ve been to better buffet places, but unfortunately Golden Corral is the best option in Santa Maria.
They have plenty of options to select. Basically they have salad bar, american options like fried chicken, mash potatos, clam chowder etc. They have taco bar, soup options, pasta, then thwir dessert is also good, fresh fruits, bake goods, soft serve sundae, Icee machine. They have steak too (dinner) grilled pork (lunch)
Place is clean and the servers are attentive and helpful.
Parking is plenty.

Golden Corral was not like what I pictured in my mind. We were greeted Latin music blasting out front, it’s pretty clean, lots of variety. We had so much fun, laughing over our amusement of the place.
The choices are endless and my favorite was the pot roast.
My daughter is vegan and she enjoyed it, not a lot of cooked options for her but she still enjoyed her time.
One thing I noticed that bothered me was that I did not see patrons leaving tips.

Truly state of the art North American buffet. Very clean, well maintained. Huge hall. If dinner must try barbecue. Richard did amazing medium done sirloin. Medium rare to well done also available. Great salad bar, pizza, Mexican corner and dessert tables. Personnel in a hall was very helpful.I honestly don’t understand how people leave 1 or 2 stras reviews for such a great business.

So we got a hotel around Pismo Beach took the drive out here to Santa Maria to the Golden corral buffet. Definitely a 10 out of 10 bang for your buck especially being out here in the coast highly recommended our new Family favorite when we’re out here on vacation.

Food was great .. though if you come and it’s busy just go home or somewhere else unless you have someone to babysit the food coming out because once it’s busy the food is gone . Literally empty and out of everything lol staff was nice . One chick had a booty so that was nice .

I know its golden corral.but they could do better. Pot roast dry and rubbery chewy Seafood salad is always good at GC but not here ! Watery no good flavor. Whoever makes it here Does Not make it like ALL the other GCs. I wont come back to this one in Santa Maria. The seafood salad is my fave item and its Beyond Terrible here !
