The space itself is spotless and welcoming. There’s comfortable outdoor seating, and the bar adds a nice touch whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or pairing something with your meal.
Overall, this is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Sarasota. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food, thoughtful presentation, and a clean, inviting atmosphere.
We were seated outdoors, and from the beginning service was extremely poor. Drinks sat empty for long stretches and were slow to be refilled. Our two appetizers did not arrive together, and after a very long wait our entrées were brought out only a few at a time. Five people were halfway finished eating while two guests were still waiting for their meals. Our server rarely returned to the table, and communication about the delays was essentially nonexistent.
Eventually one of the missing entrées arrived so late that the guest no longer wanted it, and the other never arrived at all. We asked to speak with a manager, but another employee came out instead, explaining the kitchen was having difficulties and offering to remove the late and missing items from the bill. While that was appropriate, it did not address the overall experience or the fact that the restaurant’s operational problems had been passed on to customers who had spent the entire evening waiting and frustrated. After we expressed this, he eventually offered a 10% discount, which did not reflect the severity of the situation. We were even told that the rest of us had eaten our meals, missing the point completely. We repeatedly asked to speak with the manager directly but were unable to do so.
The most disappointing part was not simply the delays, but the lack of communication and accountability. A restaurant can have a rough night; what matters is how it responds. In this case, no one in management came to our table to apologize or even speak with us in person.
I don’t doubt others may have good experiences here, but ours was poorly handled from start to finish and completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable evening together.
Will I return?…absolutely no doubt
