When I arrived to pick up the order, Christian was just as kind and professional in person. He greeted me with a smile, made the pickup smooth and easy, and clearly cared about providing great customer service. It’s rare to see someone who is consistently excellent both on the phone and in-store.
Thank you, Christian, for making the experience so pleasant.
The restaurant was not well-maintained, with multiple tables around us left uncleared and dirty dishes piling up. This gave the space a cluttered and unclean feel, which made it hard to enjoy the meal.
It’s disappointing because the staff seemed to be doing their best, but the lack of upkeep in the dining area made for an uncomfortable experience. I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.
Great experience at IHOP Dulles! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our food came out hot and fresh, and everything tasted great—especially the pancakes and omelets. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Perfect spot for breakfast or a late-night meal. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Let’s start off with the positives. The pork sausage links were the best I’ve had recently at a restaurant. I was impressed with their bathroom. The floors weren’t sticky like at some other breakfast restaurants, thank you for that IHOP. I ordered a side of crispy bacon and it was crispy, so I was happy about that.
Negatives: When the pork sausage arrived they were cold and had to send them back. Once they brought new ones that were hot, they were delicious. The Hashbrowns were so-so, I wouldn’t order them again, personally. I guess I prefer McDonald’s Hashbrowns, because they are very crispy and hot. My husband said his meal wasn’t great. It was supposed to have cheese, but there wasn’t much cheese in the omelette and was just so-so.
The waitress wasn’t attentive and didn’t smile. There wasn’t silverware for me when we sat down and when the food arrived, no silverware. So my husband got up and went to an empty table and grabbed the new silverware that was wrapped in a new napkin for me.
I’m giving it four stars because the pork sausage was good once hot, the bacon and hot chocolate were good. Bathrooms were clean and there was ample seating. It will probably be a long time before we go back though.
There was one employee engaging with two guests putting in a to-go order. The lobby was quickly crowding up with people waiting to be seated. They probably should have had one employee dedicated to taking to-go orders and one employee dedicated to adding customers to the wait list. A gentleman who appear to be in a management position seated us after about 7 mins of waiting.
We ordered our food, but the eggs on everyone’s plate was cold. We brought this to the attention of our server, Jonathan, and he put in a new order of eggs right away to make it right. We also ordered mozzarella sticks, but when we received them, they were lukewarm–indicated that they were undercooked.
This got the attention of the manager, who gave us a discount for the inconvenience of receiving cold food twice in the same sitting.
I’d say that the saving grace of this visit was our server, Jonathan. He was really attentive, personable, and dedicated to ensuring that we had the best experience as customers. We’d definitely give this IHOP another try as long as Jonathan is our server again.
