I give 3 stars in general because It’s a good place for people on a budget.
Immediately got a refund. Amber the manager was polite and gave a refund. I will not be returning too this MORROW LOCATION
Let’s start with the highlights: the ice cream was, as always, a crowd-pleaser! I also enjoyed the salad bar and the sweet potatoes, which were flavorful and well-prepared. The baked potatoes were another winner, and the rolls were soft and fresh. The fried shrimp with cocktail sauce was a nice touch, too.
However, I did encounter several letdowns. The steak was surprisingly tough, making it hard to enjoy, and while the mashed potatoes were thick, the dark brown gravy didn’t suit my taste. The macaroni and cheese, greens, and green bean casserole were definitely not up to par, and I found the cabbage to be unappetizing. Cheese pizza was decent enough, but it didn’t stand out.
On the dessert front, the peach cobbler was delightful, especially when paired with ice cream. The sweet potato pie was also good, though it was very cinnamony. Unfortunately, the cheesecake didn’t impress me at all.
Our server, Jesse, was accommodating and attentive with drink refills, but there were times when I felt she could have been a bit more proactive. The total cost for two people came to $44, which included tax—a reasonable price for a buffet.., I guess.
One major downside was the state of the restrooms. The ladies’ room had a very unpleasant odor, which was quite off-putting, while the men’s restroom was in much better shape. It’s clear that the cleanliness of the facilities needs some attention.
Overall, while there were some enjoyable dishes and a friendly server, the inconsistencies in food quality and the restroom situation left me feeling underwhelmed. If you’re in the mood for a buffet, Golden Corral might hit the spot, but be prepared for some misses along the way.
Also the server Jesse claimed she didn’t know the wifi password. I think that’s something every employee should know to accommodate guests and if they don’t know they should be able to instruct where the password can be found.
