Stopped in for the first time this morning after driving past this little gem for months now. Needed a pick-me-up and decided on some place local.

I arrived a few minutes after opening and I was immediately greeted by friendly staff. I was taken by the display of delectible and enticing pastries. I decided to go with the Cheddar, Bacon, and Chive Scone. The crumb on the scone is amazing and it melts in my mouth (I’m writing this as I am enjoying it). There is just enough chive that I get that sweet, garlicky flavor without it being too overpowering. And do I detect buttermilk?

For a beverage I was initially going to go with an almond milk latte, but then I saw the Cafe Miel with cinnamon and honey. Just the right amount of cinnamon and honey and the espresso is so smooth. I should have asked which almond milk they use because it it so creamy.

Great ambiance too. The sunrise hits the windows just perfect and bathes the already warm atmosphere in an even more uplifting light. There is amazing artwork on the walls as well as beautiful traditional Japanese robes and umbrellas. And doggos are allowed on the patio.

Great food, friendly staff, comforting environment. Definitely coming back here to study one day.

Beautiful coffee shop with fantastic espresso. Whoever made our drinks in the morning did such a fantastic job we ended up coming back in the afternoon for another pick-me-up! Americano was smooth with a perfectly pulled espresso shot. Loved the story of the dad and daughter too, the family photos were so sweet. Great pastries as well.

You will feel welcomed and like you belong from the moment you walk in. They offer lovely drinks and the most amazing treats! The array of tasty baked goods is worth a trip every day. They have an amazing baker who will entice you with both savory and sweet items, making it difficult to pick just one. They have a gluten free Green Tea Macha treat that will make you get up early just to be sure they don’t run out before you arrive. And don’t get me started on the Espresso Chocolate Chip scone, it was so moist that it turned me from a scone hater to a scone lover! Everything is made fresh each morning and oh my goodness! If you only have time for something to go or need to stop and chill for a while, this will become your go to place after just one visit.

Yokoso is a must-visit coffee shop. Delicious chai and coffee. Adorable mugs. Amazing pastries from Rise & Shine Bakehouse. Wonderful, friendly staff that makes everyone feel like family.

As of April 2025, they are just getting settled into their new space with a soft opening. Be sure to check their Facebook page for the latest hours as those will likely be adjusted as they get settled in. 100% worth visiting and enjoying the friendly small-town ambience.

Upon entering “Yokoso” for the first time, I was warmly greeted by David; and on return visits, also by owners Christine & and their beautiful daughter, Lana. I am sure there are folks in the kitchen keeping the “cogs” in working order: dishes, etc. Coffee & bakery are delicious, sourced locally. Indoor & outside seating. Yokosuka feels serene, curated in Japanese theme, There is a strong sense of Community being nurtured here.
