I’ve been here a couple of times and had the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was phenomenal. But for my review, I decided to try the Cowboy burger. Oh…my…God. With the exception of Maple & Motor, this was the best burger I’ve had in 20 years of living back in Dallas. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

First of all, the food I had was good. I got a grilled cheese, tomato bisque soup, and a Caesar salad. Everything was good.
Two of my colleagues got burgers. They were undercooked and they ended up not feeling good afterwards.
It’s a cool atmosphere, but smoking is allowed which wasn’t for us.
They were also understaffed when we went but the server was doing his best and was sweet.

I had my husband’s 50th birthday party at Barley House 10 years ago and I just did his 60th last night. The band was excellent AND the manager Aaron Brewer was very accommodating, cool and lovely to work with. Plus I love ❤️ her last name.

I’ve been wanting to go for some time and glad I finally did. Very much a college bar right next to SMU. Great atmosphere and food. I had the Reuben and Tots, both of which I would recommend. The night I was there, a band played. About an hour before, they started charging a $5 cover for any new patrons coming in. Was an enjoyable evening.

What a nice bar, it’s too bad the bartenders are a bunch of money hungry hippos. I pay with cash, and as a cash paying customer I like to tip my bartender at the end of my night that way I’m not having to tip over and over like any debit/credit card user. On my 2nd beer I paid cash and the Bar manager a bald headed guy came up to me and said he wouldn’t serve me unless I left a tip? This was after I already paid lol.. I kindly told him I like to tip after I finish drinking. And he said not here. That’s how they make their money. I’ve been a bartender and bar manager for 10 years now and I have NEVER talked to a customer this way.. what a Joke. You know who you are. Destroying your bosses reputation as I had about 15 friends on the way but kindly took them elsewhere. I get it, you’re a busy business. You have customers no matter what. And that’s the exact attitude I received.

We expected this to be primarily a SMU college bar on the surface. We have been back 3 times for live music and pizza. The crowd is a mix of all ages and has a great vibe inside. It can get very busy and crowded depending on the band playing, but we have never had bad service.

Their food is actually pretty good given it’s a bar. Most of the time the bar is filled with students/people in general, but there are times where it’s chill and hardly anyone is there. They also have pretty good beers on draft.
They’re pet friendly and have a patio in the front, restaurant style seating inside with TVs, and a back area with games.

The service was perfect.
Food was fresh and hot and generously sized.
Beer was cold. Cocktails were not watered down.
Parking blows but hey, that’s the only thing that was not ideal.
