The price was a lil high since they had crab and I wasn’t interested in crab. But the Hibachi grill and sushi were amazing! The hot and sour soup was delicious! The Genetsl Tsao was great! Overall the quality of the food and freshness were the best of any buffet I’ve been to in Kansas City! Very clean place and good service!

The service here has improved so much compared to before! There’s a bigger variety of sushi now, so I don’t have to place a separate order and wait around. I can just grab what I want directly from the sushi bar and start eating right away—super convenient! When you go during peak hours, you’ll find a lot of dishes refreshed quickly, so there’s always something new to try.
The only downside was our third visit when we arrived late, close to closing time. Some of the food wasn’t as warm and looked a bit old. But the staff were incredibly kind and even made us a fresh hot dish just for us. We really appreciated it, and I’m more than happy to tip them extra! I believe the ownership may have changed since it’s so much better now. Every corner is spotless, there’s a larger food selection with added fruit, and the servers are all so friendly.

Pros: the made to order fresh teppanyaki noodles are definitely the star of the show. There are a good amount of protein options, as well as vegetables. There are also 5+ sauce options too! They have a rewards program now. The service is really good as well, and the food turnover was pretty good even at 1:30pm on a Saturday. Lunch is $14.99 and dinner is $17.99.

I used to come specifically to this buffet since I don’t eat seafood and they would make me a chicken & cream cheese roll. However that is no longer an option. Another con is that there were crab legs in the buffet line so one person in our group ate some. We got the bill and it was $21.99 per person, and said “seafood buffet” so all 4 of us got charged because one person grabbed crab legs from the buffet line which was not specifically noted or said that it would be an insane surcharge and everyone would be subjected to it.

We LOVE Wolcano Teppanyaki!! We eat here several times per month and we’re always pleased! Tonight, for the first time, my delivery order was incorrect. I called to ask about it and they promptly had my correct order made and delivered super quick!! Eat here – you’ll love it, too!!

Been coming since it opened years ago and the quality has only gotten better as they’ve added more delicious items. You can order your own freshly prepared sushi a la carte included in the buffet which is unique. The friendly service is appreciated always.

This place is a diamond in the rough! Perfect low light in the seating area. Good selection of food on the Buffett and everything was HOT and fresh. And the hibachi grill was EXCELLENT!! if you need a Chinese buffet north of the river this is a spot to try. Just look for the blue roof and you’re there! I will definitely make this my new hot spot.

Truly a very nice place inside I have no complaints about the decor or anything like that it’s very welcoming and very warm however I went to the buffet and when they first opened today November 9th 2024 and I was the first one in the restaurant All the food was cold on the buffet. I informed the staff three times each time after that I waited approximately 5 to 10 minutes for the food to be warmed up from the burners on the buffet and they were still cold The food had so much promise but it was not enjoyable whatsoever and I did not know on a Saturday it’s $18.99. it’s a shame I was really really hoping the food would be phenomenal and it was a disaster. The soup was cold, all the chicken mixed with vegetables for every type that was on the buffet was cold the crab rangoon or cold the eggs roll or cold everything was cood, and yes the sushi was cold too lol

Every time we come here- both lunch & dinner, the service is great, the food is fresh and there are so many options. I like the jalapeño chicken & rice vermicelli noodles, my kiddos love the sushi you can order fresh (included in the price), and the hibachi is always a hit. This is the only chinese buffet we go to anymore.

This place is unusual, but great! The asian buffet is delicious, with many familiar dishes (jalapeño chicken and black pepper chicken are my favorites). They have some sushi sitting out you can grab, but I recommend ordering it fresh! For no extra charge, you can order 2 half-rolls per person at a time, as often as you want. For $16, you won’t find better!
