We have heard about this place and to tell you the truth it wasn’t on the top of my list. Mainly because it was all women talking about how they loved the little bakery and the Café feel. Sounded like a girlie place. I was wrong! We enjoyed it! The place is nice and clean. You order at the counter. Mia, who took our order was super nice. The beverage station was nice and the complementary bread box was unexpected. Both the American and French coffees were fresh. When they brought our food out, our server was friendly. My wife’s omelet was perfect. My Quiche Lorraine was delicious. On our way out we picked up a few desserts and again Mia was super nice. We will definitely return.

After speaking with the manager about our previous experience, she was incredibly responsive to our concerns and welcomed us back with genuine warmth and excellent customer service. The prime rib sandwich and onion soup were both flavorful and delicious. Customer service was noticeably improved, and the music was at a comfortable volume. Overall, we had a much better experience this time, and I would recommend giving this establishment another visit.

Ok I’ve always like this chain, but… food prices go up and quality goes down. Eggs cold, cheeses not melted. Coffee needs a bit more flavor – tastes watery. I started coming to Metairie because the St. Charles location has gone down.

My partner and I ordered tomato soup, broccoli and cheddar soup, grilled cheese, & a turkey sandwich. It wasn’t horrible, but I don’t think I’d come back. Mainly because the broccoli and cheddar soup was extremely thick , not like a soup at all. It was clumpy and thicker than a porridge-like consistency. Even though the taste wasn’t horrible, although it was a bit on the saltier side, the consistency alone is unacceptable. The grilled cheese would’ve been better if the bread was toasted at all. Just was melted cheese with white bread slapped on top. Mediocre at best.

Very nice place. The food was very well made and fresh. The only complaint I have is that my brother chose to have pasta as a side for his sandwich and it was cold. But I ordered pasta as the main entry and it was hot and fresh so I can’t complain too much because my brother loved his sandwich. I didn’t really like the lemonade though. They also have French lessons in the bathroom.

I placed a takeout order and waited for it to be filled. I paid a tip the desk clerk requested. Once my order was ready I was informed that one of the items I paid for was no longer available. It was available in the display case when I placed my order. I questioned this and was told the item was needed for another order. The server was just going to short me without a refund and was being rude about it. I later learned this was the manager on duty. I then suggested they substitute another item in its place. At this point I was mad with the employee’s attitude. A second employee was laughing at me. So I asked for a refund for the difference in the price shown on the product in the case. The employee told me that I actually owed them money to which I asked how and why. I was told that the prices marked in the case were wrong and that the prices were higher. I explained that was fraud and the I would only pay the advertised price. The manager said she did not know how to issue a credit. She said that corporate had not sent new price tags but that they increased the prices in the computer. So she admitted it was fraud. I have pictures of the prices in the case and the prices I was charged on my receipt. They do not match! I was fraudulently charged!!! I tried to call the corporate office in Dallas but they only have an automated phone system. I left messages with the Complaint line, the CEO, and the COO requesting a return phone call. No one ever called me. This restaurant group are con artists. I’ll will likely never seat there again. I urge everyone to be careful and check your receipt so that you too are not ripped off!! The person claiming to be a manager and the other girl working with her were very rude to me. Be careful of these shady operators!!!!!

Madeleine has finally cleaned up their act.
They were just awful for many years with customer service food and the place was unkempt.
I went a few days ago and its actually clean employees were nice and courteous and food actually taste like it use to taste when it opened.

I’ve been frequenting La Madeleine’s in Texas so this one was a new vibe and overall great experience. I came for a 2 egg breakfast and coffee to fuel me while I work. On this Sunday morning, the place was filled with people of all ages but mainly 40s-60s with newspapers and lively table discussions. This restaurant had quicker and more efficient serving staff than other places I’ve been. The floors were clean (unlike Austin) and their condiment caddy area actually had the strawberry and blueberry jams I haven’t seen since pre-Pandemic. I love the red top bistro umbrellas and checkerboard chairs outside and the outdoor lounging area would be ideal for college friends on a study break. Great job, La Madeleine!

It’s my second time going to La Madeleine. The first time I took my mom for mother’s day and received a free entree for our next visit. I came in July 9 and unfortunately while I was in the parking lot, my friend was eating her pastry when she found a hair in the middle of the cherry filling. She had taken a bite and the whole piece of hair came out of it. I never would have expected this and was very disappointed.
