Of course, the hotel is beautiful and the dining area is also luxuriously decorated and very clean. The service is excellent. Everyone is super friendly and professional and service is pretty quick as well. The drinks are fabulous! The food is good. I went for a quick, light meal. I got a salad and the grilled cheese sandwich and fries. The salad was very good, the house dressing had great flavor. The fries also had good flavor and were crispy and fresh. My only complaint was the grilled cheese. I honestly couldn’t even tell the sandwich had cheese on it. It practically evaporated into the bread, which was definitely not a “thick brioche”. Interestingly, it could have been improved if they either added some aioli and called it a classic tomato sandwich or added a little bacon and called it a BLT. The only thing I tasted was tomatoes. I’ll have to come back sometime and try some of their other menu items.

The Living Room is a fantastic place listen to a pianist and sip on a wonderfully made cocktail. The bartenders are amazing, and the ambiance is everything you want from a cocktail lounge. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you are staying in the hotel.

If you find yourself in The Living Room in Mobile, Alabama you owe it to yourself to try the burger. It is melt in your mouth amazing. I had planned to only eat half and take the rest back to my hotel fridge to have the next day for lunch. However, after one bite it was suddenly my cheat day! Ohmygoodness! My next thought as I savored this culinary masterpiece was to at least save the fries for another meal. Nope! They were decadent! I am diabetic, so I fought the urge to eat them all. I did however leave them at the bar for those having a drink because it’s blasphemous to leave anything that delicious to get refrigerated and reheated, much less thrown away.
I will say they could use more servers and bar tenders when it’s busy, because I did have to wait, but I kind of forgot all about that once I tasted the burger!

The staff & bartenders in the comfotable “Living room” are amazing. The couches and chairs are comfortable. And the food is an extremely well planned diverse menu with something for everyone. One of our favorite places.
