We went on their 2nd week of opening new location and it was amazing as always. Service was above and beyond, friendly environment. Food was also incredible and deserving of 5 star rating. Lamb Fahsah was my order and is a definite must!!

We tried Malooga today during the soft opening. The service was friendly, attentive, and positive! We tried two honeycomb buns and they were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try their full menu. Excited to have them in the neighborhood!

Today was our second visit in a week. Nothing to take home because we scarfed everything down. I’ve tried 8 items from the menu so far and everything has been delicious. Welcome to Narberth, Malooga!

Great spot in downtown Narberth. This is locally owned by a local guy. Very friendly family place and the food is excellent. it opens early at 8am for coffee and pastries and closes at 8pm.

Warm and lovely addition to the neighborhood! The adeni chai is magnificent: balanced, flavorful, and smooth. I am sure the rest of the menu is just as good, but the real treat is the staff. Kind, knowledgeable, welcoming.

We had chicken mandi, lamb haneeth, and manakish. The chicken and lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the manakish was fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes were huge and definitely great for sharing.

We stopped by on Thursday night on a whim, not expecting that we’d need a reservation when they’d only been open for a little more than a week. They were fully booked but were kind enough to accommodate our party of three. They are still in their soft opening period, with an abbreviated menu, but the three dishes we had: fool, braised lamb shoulder, and chicken skewers were all delicious, and the hot mint tea was lovely. Very excited for this addition to the Narberth international food scene, and looking forward to trying other dishes and the breakfast choices.

Malooga offers an exceptional introduction to authentic Yemeni cuisine. The restaurant offers flavorful dishes like tender lamb haneeth falls of the bone and fragrant chicken mandi, served in generous portions perfect for sharing. Outstanding hospitality and welcoming atmosphere, which made the dining experience feel both comfortable and culturally rich and a taste of home. Overall, Malooga stands out as a must visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy bold spices, traditional recipes, outstanding service, and great atmosphere for both a romantic date night or a family gathering.

We actually had a negative experience at the end of our visit today.
WARNING: The “floor dining experience” has a strict 1 hr limit. At least it did for us (more on this later). We were not warned in advance.
We arrived promptly for our 5:30 reservation. At first, they were all so lovely – I put Ifthar on my reservation, so they gave us complimentary dates & filled water glasses promptly. They gave me a private room to pray. Our waitress was lovely. The lamb haneeth delicious.
At 6:30, while we were waiting for our dessert to come, the host came to our table to “remind” (they had never said it before) us that they had a 6:30 reservation for our table. I was so worried about being an inconvenience the rest of our visit. We hadn’t dawdled. It wasn’t our fault we had to wait on dessert. Then we had to wait on a check (also not our fault – I got up & asked for it, so as to help turn over the table). I saw no one waiting for our table & other floor seating was available. FWIW, standard dinner reservations are 90min or longer.
As far as I could tell, we were the only customers who were treated this way. Tables seated before us were still seated after us.
I don’t know why we were treated differently. I like to patronize Muslim-owned businesses during Ramadan, but South Asians are often looked down upon within the community. I hope that wasn’t the reason we were chased out.
