Stopped by Lankford’s Bellaire and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was laid-back and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive.
The burgers were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly — you can tell they take pride in quality and flavor. The portions were generous, the fries were hot and crispy, and everything came out fresh. This is the kind of place where comfort food is done right without trying too hard.
Perfect spot for a casual meal, whether you’re grabbing lunch, dinner, or satisfying a serious burger craving. I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re in the Bellaire area!

Update 3/8/2026: Per the owner’s request in his response to my review, I emailed him directly but did not receive a reply. I also want to correct one point from my original review. The owner clarified that he was not the individual involved in the incident. During the interaction, the server mentioned that his last name was the same as the restaurant, which led me to reasonably believe he had an ownership role. I wanted to update this for accuracy.
Everything started off great, but when customer service was needed, it fell short. If anything ever goes wrong, make sure you are extremely verbal about it, otherwise you will be ignored or dismissed.
During our meal, the server (the owner/father) accidentally knocked over a soda that landed in my friend’s lap and on my left side. While my friend was immediately acknowledged, I was not, despite my left side and bag being soaked as well. When I asked why I wasn’t being considered, I was told it had only happened to her. The entire table confirmed that wasn’t accurate.
I was later told I had received free onion rings and a milkshake, which was not true. I paid for my items. When I spoke with the owner/manager afterward to share feedback (and made clear I wasn’t demanding a refund), he comped my friend’s meal in front of me but offered me a “next dessert free with purchase” card instead.
The food was good, but the inconsistent and dismissive handling of the situation left a disappointing impression, especially when I calmly and respectfully brought it to their attention.
I ordered a cheeseburger (medium), fries and a strawberry milkshake. The burger was closer to well than medium, I switched out the fries for onion rings which were exceptional and the strawberry milkshake was top notch. All in all, my visit was a 2.5, but had the potential to be so much better.

We found this place looking for another burger joint. We were pleasantly surprised. The burger was cooked to perfection, the fries and onion rings were crispy, hot and large enough proportions for two people. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Before heading home to Dallas, we decided to try Lankford’s. They did not disappoint. I ordered the patty melt and my husband got the Grim. He said it was the best burger he’s had. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We will definitely return.

Went today with family and ordered 5 burgers along with sweet potato fries, which were done right. The fried pickles were nothing special, and the regular fries felt like a very small portion—almost like leftover scraps from the case, as you can see in the picture.
The burgers were made fresh, but they all lacked seasoning, and my avocado burger had barely any avocado.
That said, the service was good, and we’ll definitely be back—everyone deserves a second chance, and we’d like to keep our 5-star review for this place.

I love this place!!! Dakota is amazing maid my friend and I feel super welcomed and such a great environment. Trace was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. It was hot and fresh and the weight was not even five minutes. Please give this place a try you won’t regret it.

The service here was awesome. The server was A 1. We went to the Bellaire location and it was the same service as Dennis St. Lankfords has never disappoint. The server constantly checked on us, it made us feel welcomed. I truly recommend them, we’ve been a customer for over 14 years. Thank you for a great establishment and great food.

The food seems delicious but I don’t eat fried food, however I can vouch for the ambiance and the cheer. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The decor is interesting. It’s a nice, relaxing place to chill. But Most Importantly, the they feature the Houston Astros, out hometown heroes!!!

Have heard good things about Lankford’s and finally got around to trying it. Wow, I wish we would have tried it long ago! Both of us got bacon cheese burgers cooked medium well. They were cooked to perfection! Nice and juicy. And the bacon, you could really taste it unlike a lot of places. I also got onion rings and they were likely the best onion rings I’ve ever had, and that’s really saying something as I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to my onion rings. Everything came out within about 12 minutes and was piping hot and fresh! Even the temperature of the restaurant was perfect. There are only 2 minor things I can complain about: 1. As with a lot of places when you order at the counter and get ready to pay it asks you to tip (not something I do unless at a ‘sit down’ restaurant where the waitress/waiter takes your order. 2. It was pretty noisy, so much so that I had to turn my hearing aids all the way down. And it wasn’t all that busy, it was just that they had the music a touch too loud (although they do play great music, classic rock) and with the music being too loud of course caused all the patrons to think they had to use their outside voices to talk over the music. Plus there is nothing to absorb sound inside. If they hung some burlap/cloth panels here and there it would greatly help. But we definitely have a new favorite burger place now!

Unfortunately I have to remove 1 star.
Not because of the food, it’s still excellent, but because of the service today.
2 weeks ago on our very first visit everything, including the service, was amazing.
Today on our 2nd visit the service was pretty bad.
1st there is a sign on the register stating if you give them a 5 star review that you get a free order of fries on your next visit.
Now, I didn’t give them 5 stars because of the free fry offer, but because our 1st visit genuinely was Excellent.
However, today when I ordered I asked the girl taking my order about the free fries. She had no idea what I was talking about. I picked up the sign that was sitting right in front of her on the register and showed her as well as showed her my review on my phone. She had no idea how to handle this and started scanning around for help. I had already waited nearly 10 minutes just to get up to the register to order and wasn’t really in the mood to wait any longer nor to keep the people behind me waiting as well so I said just forget the fries.
Next I mentioned my veteran status to get a discount, she also had no idea about this (I know they do it as I got it on my first visit, and oddly enough by the same girl taking my order now). Again she starts looking around for help.
Again I said I wasn’t going to wait extra just for that so ring me up. Right then another employee, perhaps a manager, showed up and took care of it all.
Now back to our table to wait for our food.
18 minutes after we ordered, my cheeseburger and onion rings arrived but not my wife’s grilled chicken sandwich.
Now, 18 minutes wasn’t all that long considering how busy they were but to bring out only half of our order?
We waited another 5 minutes and still no chicken sandwich. My wife goes up to check on it and was told they were ‘making it’.
About 2 minutes after she sat down her sandwich and our free fries arrived.
There was a family of 4 in front of me at the register when we arrived and they were sitting at a table next to us.
They didn’t get their food until a few minutes AFTER we got ours and just like ours, it was brought out 1 or 2 at a time with a couple minutes between. Not sure what was going on with the kitchen.
Will we go back? Absolutely as the food is amazing, just hopefully won’t have such a bad customer service experience next time.

Stopped by Lankford’s Bellaire in Houston and had such a great experience. I ordered the Midtown Burger and it was absolutely amazing juicy, flavorful, and exactly the kind of burger that hits the spot. My son had the “basic
” burger with curly fries, and he loved every bite (the curly fries were a big win!).
A special shoutout to Dakota his service was genuinely fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, which really made the meal even better.
