This is probably unfair of me coming from Chicago burbs where you don’t get much better pizza. It truly sets the bar from what I’ve seen and I’m well traveled. I’m the Sicilian, tavern crust fan, not toppings on a loaf of bread. That being said DJ’s definitely gives you thin crust but to them that also means thin toppings. I hate to say but Connie’s frozen Chicago style thin has more flavor and toppings than this place. Im not sure if there was much sauce either and the taste was bland. We also tried Challengers which was recommended that had double the cheese for same crust thicknesses and of course smaller diameter for the same price.

This is a great hidden gem. We are new to this area and happened to come across DJs as there are not many food places close for locals. The atmosphere is down home and welcoming. The owner has been there every time we have stopped in. We enjoy the food not only pizza but also the sandwiches and fried pickles. Always friendly and a joy to stop in for a quick bite or cold drink.

DJ’s is a best kept secret tucked away in Ryland! The wife and I drove past this place a number of times, curious, but to be honest we were unsure if we would feel welcome. Judging from the number of cars outside, it appeared to be a local favorite so we ventured inside. A great decision! The first thing the staff did was to dispel any idea that we were unwelcome. The servers were absolutely charming and immediately made us feel like at home guests. The owner took time to personally greet us and thanked us for visiting. We saw a number of folks walk in who were called by name, like only a place with regulars can do. They educated us on the menu, the daily baked goods and the restaurant history. If you’re paying attention you may hear some good old down home trash talk among the staff or the regulars, and you know it’s all in love! The crown jewel was a table visit we received from Ms Dorris, the kitchen genius behind their delicious offerings from the sauce, to the dough, to the baked goods and more! My current favorite is the DJ’s Special pizza (see photo) and the hot wings. I also devoured a slice of coconut cream cake. Perfect sweetness and texture like only homemade can achieve. But to be honest, I need to try more menu items like the lasagna, fried pickles, spaghetti and meatballs, and the varieties of gelato. Soon… soon. The decor is very much a down home joint, but it’s very clean from front to back, including the restrooms were spotless. You’ll see a number of all the state license plates bordering the ceiling with sports memorabilia on the walls and 3 television monitors for guests to enjoy. DJ’s is a gem that we love and we’re so happy to have discovered!

A foodie coworker recommended this place to me as a good place to eat. This is a small family owned place – I stopped by on Saturday and was pleased to find one of the co-owners had brought one of their kids in to ‘help’ them on the weekend. The place looks a lot tired and run down but was cozy.
I ordered a large DJ’s Special pizza (minus mushrooms). The pizza came out and looked good – the toppings were under the cheese which was a little weird. Pizza tasted good, especially with a little marinara.
I’d go back and you should give them a shot.

We love going in to see all the sweet kiddos/staff and the food is a huge plus! We always eat something different and have never been disappointed. Tonight we got meat lovers pizza and the picture didn’t do it justice. Cooked perfectly tonight guys!

This is hands down, my favorite pizza place in Huntsville area!!! The pizza is to die for. Very authentic and like no one else’s. I eat here once a week and it never gets old! The staff are very polite and hard working. The owners works side by side all of the other help, very nice and down to Earth!!!

I ordered a large Sticky Fingers pizza last night. I have never eaten at DJ’s or had anything from there but I definitely plan to again. Let me start off by saying that for the most part I am not a part of the “Pizza is good anytime” club. I have to really be in the mood for it and when I am it has to be better than the popular chains, so I usually make it at home. Another thing about me is that I like my crust to have some crisp to it and I have found that by the time you get the pizza out of the cardboard box and into your mouth there really isn’t much of that fresh crisp left. So, to say that I am picky… no… very particular… is accurate. When I ordered my pizza over the phone the girl sounded friendly and engaged in our interaction regardless of the hustle and bustle going on around her that I could hear in the background. I was given a 20 minute wait on the pizza so my son and I decided since it was raining that we would go ahead and make our way. Upon arrival and before I got out of the car I could smell the pizza. It was warm and savory and exactly what I needed on a chilly rainy night. It is a small restaurant, very downhome and personable feeling with more to offer than pizza. I was greeted and did my payment by cash with couple of friendly young faces and went on my way. It was a long ride home with the fresh smells creeping from the box sitting within arms reach… tempting me with every inhale. Finally home and starving! IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT I HAD HOPED FOR! The crust was sturdy and still had a crisp to it. The toppings were plentiful and the mozzarella cheese was so flavorful. I might not be a part of the before mentioned club but I am definitely a fan of DJ’s Pizza kitchen and look forward to maybe being inducted into the club. Looking forward to a mommy and son date at what could possibly become “our spot”.

Always great pizza . The remodel really opened up the space and made more room for. We are lucky to have Wendy and her team in this community . They contribute so much beside great food . Check them out . You won’t be disappointed.

Food is always good. We get the gourmet fries and chicken Alfredo every week. Order on the app and its usually ready when I get there to pick it up. Owner is awesome and she has some great kids working for her too.
