I’ve been going to Dodge Park Coney Island every Saturday morning because I stop at the CDS next door. The place itself is clean, and the cooks are always pretty nice. The food is good, and it’s usually busy in the mornings, especially with people grabbing breakfast before the CDS store opens.
Unfortunately, my experience with one of the waitresses hasn’t been great. I’m always polite when I ask for something, but I’m often met with “hold on one minute” repeatedly or sometimes just ignored. One Saturday, I was chatting with two waitresses (one blonde and one brunette, I believe her name was Lisa), and I mentioned that they have a good morning crowd from the store next door. The response I received was that “you guys aren’t the ones who make or break us” and that the owner wouldn’t care either way.
That was disappointing to hear, especially considering there are about 20 of us who come in every Saturday morning and consistently support the business. At the end of the day, every customer and every dollar counts. Because of that interaction, I personally stopped going, although some of the group still does. I even told a friend who used to go (and wasn’t part of our Saturday group), and they decided not to return after hearing about the experience.
It’s a nice, clean place with good cooks, but customer service matters they need to do better — especially to regulars

I work in the area and dine in and get carryout all the time. I’ve never had a bad experience the food is always amazing and the service. I highly recommend the Chicken Monterey. No other restaurant is beating theirs. Reheating left overs in a tin pan@350 for 15 mins omg. First off they make rice perfect. Reheating makes dinner thru the roof oven baked.

I visited a liquidation store with great deals—you can really find some good bargains, especially on $1 Wednesdays. However, the experience needs improvement. There were no carts available, which made it hard to carry things around. Items were disorganized and overlapping, making it tough to browse. The crowd was very aggressive, and unfortunately, one of the staff members was rude . If you plan to go, try visiting on a quiet day—Wednesdays are chaotic and not recommended unless you’re prepared for the crowd.

We really enjoy eating here! The food is delicious and the menu selections are abundant. The cooks and wait staff are so friendly. They serve you quickly so you can get on with your day. The atmosphere is clean and cozy!

Located in the shopping center where the Salvation Army is off 15 mile and Dodge Park Road. Plenty of parking. The ambiance is very inviting. The seating is plentiful and comfortable. The menu offers a wide array of different foods. We came around 11am and decided to order breakfast; all was cooked perfectly and was delicious.
Our server was OK; she would have been better had she not decided to chat for 15 minutes with her friends in the booth behind us vs asking us if we wanted more coffee (yes, please) and if she smiled for us the same as she smiled for and greeted her friends…but whatever.
We will be back.

I have been going to Dodge Park Coney for a couple of years now. The food is good and it used to be a good deal, however. We hadn’t been back for a while due to weather and the holidays and we went back for a visit. Well, I can go with inflation, but to double the prices? Come on now. The service is ok, but there seems to be things left off kind of often. Such as fries or just yesterday pecan pancakes were ordered and no syrup was given. On more than one occasion fries or salad wasn’t in the to go order and when I called about missing items it was brushed off. So, it’s hit or miss, but I won’t be back after this price hike.

My sister’s and I used to come here for breakfast and lunch all the time! We remembered how good this place used to be so we decided since we were in the area to stop in and try it out again. We were definitely disappointed!!! The service was not very friendly. Almost felt like they were irritated from us being there. Did not feel welcomed. The food was very mediocre. Overall not the greatest experience. We will not be coming here again.

The restaurant looks newly remodeled. The wait staff is very polite. We ordered loose burgers, chili cheese fries, cheese sticks and a Coney. All of the food was good. The meat for the loose burgers wasn’t seasoned as I’m accustomed to but the toppings helped with flavor. The food was hot and the presentation was nice. They are generous with the chili. Also, our waitress was very attentive making sure we were happy with everything and available to provide refills for our drinks if we wanted refills. We will definitely return.

UPDATE: 7-8-23 Too late for dinner so we met the kids. Food is pretty consistently good and they have great variety. We just like eating here a lot.
We have gotten take out from here several times. This morning we decided to dine in for breakfast. That was a great idea. I have never been inside, because I have never picked up our take out, so I was expecting the standard coney island ‘look. ” That’s not a bad thing, just an expectation. I was wrong. The inside was fresh, clean, modern and appealing. It was bigger than I expected also. The menu was extensive with several specials. There were many pancake choices, and even french toast choices. The omelette section is huge. We both had omelettes with well done hash browns. I had a corned beef and swiss, and my wife broccoli and mozzarella well done. The omelettes were awesome and the hash browns perfect. It was too much to eat, so some went with us “to go.” Here’s a cool trick they used. We noticed a small piece of broccoli on top of one and a small piece of corned beef on the other. That’s what they do so they know which omelette is which and that’s super cool. Our coffee cups were never empty, and the waitress was awesome in how she worked “alone” got everyone seen to, orders out, coffee filled etc.! Always with a smile. She also did the cash out. You should try this place. Dinners are good and now breakfast too, and the prices are in line with or slightly lower than similar restaurants. Support a well deserving local business.
Back again (actually many times since my last review.) Still great still travels well (it’s still good when you get it home.) The chicken strip dinner is becoming my favorite. Enough food for a chicken sandwich for lunch the next day (if you save the dinner roll and one chicken strip.)

Back again and again…Now I meet some friends of mine up here regularly. It’s pretty consistent which means there are no surprises and the food is very good. I wasn’t afraid to suggest this as a meeting spot. Had the corned beef omelette with well done HB. Made exactly how I asked and very tasty.
