This sandwich was absolutely loaded and did NOT disappoint. The zesty italian sauce with mayo and their special made sauce just sets off an explosion in your tastebuds! Thick-cut ham and layers of savory meat stacked high on perfectly toasted herb bread with that golden, slightly crispy crust. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy, the tomato ripe, and the pepperoncini added that perfect tangy kick to balance everything out. First Responder themed restuarant! Come check out their discount days for ALL first responders!

Looking for a non-chain sandwich shop? Looking to support family-owned businesses? Most important part: are you looking for a fantastic sandwich? Well, here’s the trifecta and then some! I stopped in earlier today to the new Hometown Heroes location after swapping restaurant suggestions with a friend who had just spent a week in East TN with her husband and the referral did not disappoint. Immediately I was greeted by a friendly person(one of the owners) who asked a few questions and gave a few suggestions. I went with her suggested Italian sub and my friend’s suggestion of the roasted red pepper with gouda soup. The combination hit the spot and was firing on all cylinders. Just the right amount of heat on the tastebuds and the full sandwich with the soup was juat right for me, as I was running on empty. The cost is a bit more than the usual sammich shops but we’ll worth it for the flavors, service, and experience.

After my meal, I messaged a local friend to the area I was supposed to meet up with and let him know where I’d grabbed lunch and he exclaimed, “Oh man. Their Rueben and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup is “. So, looks like I know what I’ll try my NEXT trip through the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg area.

Stopped at Hometown Hero’s Subs at 1436 Winfield Dunn Pkwy in Sevierville and I’m glad we did. I had the Fire Alarm Club, which comes with the habanero bacon jam, and it is absolutely delicious — great heat with real flavor, not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. My wife got the meatball grinder and it was done exactly how a meatball sub should be. We also went with the premium sides and that was the right call. The white cheddar mac and cheese was super cheesy, and the potato salad was on another level. When you’re in the area, don’t settle for franchise food pretending to be good — this is the real homemade stuff, and you will not regret it.

The BEST sandwich I’ve ever had. I had the Italian sandwich and it is absolutely incredible. The bread is toasted and crispy and the flavors are unique but so so good.

We also had the red pepper soup and it was also INCREDIBLE.

Highly recommend this hidden gem! 10/10

Had exactly what the sign suggested and it was delicious (this was a half sandwich portion)!! Also got the red pepper/gouda soup which was equally as tasty!!
Looking forward to making this a regular stop when passing through now ☺️

When we travel, we like to choose local places over national chains.

Hungry for a sub, there’s a reason this location was highly rated. Clean, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and most of all delicious food. We ordered the Italian and the Fire Alarm Club, and white cheddar Mac and broccoli cheese soup as sides. The foccacia was fresh and everything tasted great.

For the Fire Alarm sub, I got the habanero bacon jam on the side; I would say it was more like a pepper jelly than a bacon jam as I didn’t see or taste any bacon. Regardless, the jam added a nice had kick of flavor without over powering the sandwich.

Would highly recommend!

WOW! I was told by so many people how amazing the food was here but it was even better than I expected! Elizabeth was so super sweet and friendly. Food came out fast and steaming hot and the best I have had in the area. The Mac and cheese is amazing! Highly recommend! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Small business with BIG flavor. Club on a Sub could be my most favorite sandwich I’ve had. What is that sauce you put on it?!? YUMMM!! Italian was ! Come support a local, small business with creative and delicious sandwiches, great prices and friendly owners that are working at each of their 3 locations. It’s a family business y’all!
