We got the birria tacos and they were “okay”. They weren’t horrible, they were just kind of bland I guess. The chips were really good. We were in there for a while it seemed compared to other people. I think our waitress forgot about us for a while, it took about 25 minutes to get our order taken. But anyways we were in and out within an hour and a half. Would probably go back and try something else.

Tried this restaurant out today. I’ve heard very good things but upon arriving I noticed the parking lot was very small and compact. There is a smaller parking lot across the street I don’t know if it belongs to them but there is a bridge to help you cross. Although, on the way back it’s very steep and if you have elderly parents it’ll be hard for them to cross unless you want to walk in the road on Treadaway which is very busy. Upon entering I noticed this restaurant was very very small. I don’t know if they have a second seating section but they sat my party right by the bathrooms. I ordered the enchilada and taco plate which I did not finish. It wasn’t the best flavor on any of it. My fiance liked the ceviche. My children got the fajita plate that they didn’t finish either which weren’t that great. All in all the food just wasn’t that great. Now the rice and chips and salsa were on point though!!!! They do have that down! I tried to order Dr. Pepper and they did not have it. The service was good and our waitress was really nice but me and my family won’t be returning.

We stopped here to get late lunch around 3pm in the middle of our trip. We were started off with free chips and salsa. We ordered the street tacos and they were tasty. The mix fajitas was served on a sizzling plate and the meat was well seasoned, tender and juicy. The portions were generous. The tacos and fajitas were shared among 3 adults and we still had extra food to go. They have a great selection of kids’ meals and our kids enjoyed their cheese quesadilla and mac and cheese which both came with fries. Service was great; our server (I’m sorry we didn’t get your name) was very attentive. Of note, they serve drinks as it is a bar but noise level was good as it was not loud. Like others have mentioned, it is a small restaurant with small seating area which easily gets packed. Bathroom was clean which is important especially for people stopping here on a trip. Great value for money and would recommend and eat here again!

Very good fajitas. One order is plenty for two. I ordered the beef and it was delicious. The flour tortillas were delicious. Previous reviews mentioned the chips and salsa and they were correct, delicious. I ordered extra chips and salsa to take home along with what seemed yo be a pound of beef fajitas. Service was good, very attentive and friendly. Not a fancy place but the food was delicious. The parking lot is a bit small but not too bad

This place was very lively on a Saturday evening, with reasonable wait time for a party of seven to be seated. Food was ordered quickly and the service was excellent on that point. When they brought out our food it was still hot and dl very tasty, plenty to enjoy there and with enough to take home for later.

This is the first time I’ve been in this building since it was my grandfather’s restaurant. The good was good. The atmosphere reminded me of times of old with the vibe they have.

One of the pages that i keep on recommending to everyone. Fajita toxica is a must to be tested by everyone. It is one of the places to return at and test the whole menu.

Edited review, as I am unable to post a second review of this restaurant. We decided to give them a second shot tonight and ended up leaving within 10 mins of our food being served. I ordered the burrito california with steak which came out cold. I had no idea if that food inside had been cooked this morning or yesterday. My sister in laws order was wrong, and when brought back it looks like the jalapeño were just picked out of the nachos. My husband’s chimichanga was hot, because that has to be fried. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Some people may get good service here, but not us. I don’t know where all these 5 star reviews come from, maybe staff or friends. I’d eat here at your own risk.

1st review: We decided to try Blue Agave tonight. We have heard all these rave reviews about the food and service. We went in and placed a to-go order at the bar for the steak nachos and chroizo queso. They were busy, but not too busy. The restaurant feels crowded and the tables are close to each other. We waited 40 mins for our food. The girl that rang us up barely acknowledged us. Other servers did ask if we were waiting on a to-go order. I felt like they didn’t really care about a to-go order customer. When our order came out the girl just said “here” and thrusted the bag in my hands. At home, we found our order was not hot, like it had been sitting in the back for awhile. We had to reheat everything. We will not be trying this place again. Not sure what the rave is about, maybe it’s nice to eat there if you don’t mind feeling crowded.

The chips and salsa are worth the visit! The chips are made from corn tortillas that have a different texture than most fresh corn tortilla chips but they are still light and crispy and delicious. The salsa was also just perfect. Our waiter was fantastic! We also loved the guacamole. If you like it limey, you’ll love theirs. Everything else was good except for the flour tortilla. I will pass on that when we go back which will be soon.
