Dani is hands down one of the best bartenders at Sam’s Place. She’s always welcoming, remembers regulars, and makes the bar feel fun and comfortable. Drinks are consistently great, service is fast, and she handles busy nights like a pro. You can tell she actually cares about her customers.

Honestly had the best time here. Came in with my man and my girlfriend and had the best experience with the bartender Dani. She was so funny and made our time there delightful! Give her a raise! Also, awesome drink specials!

First of all the music experience is miserable. You cannot play a song without someone paying to skip ahead of the queue. So instead of waiting 10 mins for your song to play, you wait 2 hours.
Second, very unprofessional behavior from your bartenders tonight. Someone left the door open for not even 15 seconds and the blonde waitress and the guy with a face tattoo starts yelling at them in patrons ears. Why not take the time to walk the short distance to close the door yourself or ask politely? Then you have one woman working her butt off with a full bar while those two are sitting and yapping. Not helping her. Blonde waitress makes one drink and continue to socialize instead of helping. She was clearly struggling with the rush and instead of helping her they chose to yell about a door. Terrible service and extremely unprofessional. Will not be going back.

So I’ve been coming to this bar for a few years, I watched it changed ownership and take off to such an amazing venue. The owners are wonderful people and they always make you feel like family. And a major thank you to Courtney, you are an amazing bartender!!

I was in there Sunday night and the Bartender was probably 1 of the top 5 bartenders I have ever witnessed behind the bar. She was great to interact with. Although I don’t drink anymore she still made me feel welcome. Most bartenders ignore non drinkers but not this one she always made sure my water glass was full. She even put up with my drunk buddy that kept yelling her name to get her attention. I would recommend this place as long as she’s working.

I moved out of Ames awhile ago but I’ll make the trip back just to visit Dani at the bar. Everytime my friends and I come visit her we’re cracking up the entire time. Great service. Great bar. 10/10
