Went with a group of four to celebrate a birthday for dinner. The food and service were excellent. I had the bolognese pasta and we also had gnocchi and chicken parm at our table. Everyone said their meal was delicious. The presentation was very nice and the portion sizes were good. We had the bruschetta bread and truffle fries for starters
Bruschetta was excellent. We shared 2 chocolate brownies for dessert and in my wife’s words I would go back just to have another brownie. Definitely recommend to give this place a try . Prices are fair and service was great .

We came here for dinner and started with a Caesar salad, the dressing was amazing and had a fresh, unique flavor compared to most places. For our main course, we ordered the Spicy Italian pizza, which truly captured the authentic taste of Italian pizza. The crust was baked perfectly, not burnt, not undercooked, and the caramelized onions added an incredible depth of flavor.
We also had the Truffle Pasta, which had a great texture and the sauce was rich and perfectly balanced. For dessert, we finished with a New York cheesecake that made the whole dining experience even more delightful.
Our server, Chantel , was very kind and calm, helping us choose the best dishes with a warm and friendly attitude.

We happened upon this restaurant and for a Saturday evening. It was not very busy and we were surprised that we were able to get in without a reservation.
Delicious pizza and the pasta was exceptional. The weight staff were very helpful and I would return. We recommend this restaurant.

It’s a nice place with friendly and chatty staff, but we felt a bit rushed out, even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Maybe it was because we didn’t order drinks. It was a cold Saturday afternoon during lunch, so that could have played a role. The food was good, though a bit on the buttery side. Overall, the experience wasn’t perfect, and I’m not sure I’d return.

Service: RUSHED. Mains came out before apps were done. Felt like a fast food restaurant. Our group was Reminded three times that we had to vacate the table by 8; Once upon reservation, once by the greeter upon arrival and then again by the server. We were out of there in 45 minutes with 75 minutes to spare so we all Went to a pub up the road and had a much better experience.

Carvello Nero was an incredible collaborator for our New Year’s Eve-themed styled shoot at The Barracks Inn. From the moment we connected, their enthusiasm for being part of this local creative project was truly appreciated.
I had the pleasure of trying their delicious pizza and absolutely decadent cheesecake, and both were unforgettable! The pizza was perfectly crafted, with rich, flavorful ingredients, and the cheesecake was the perfect indulgent treat to complete the experience.
Beyond the amazing food, their service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. They went above and beyond to contribute to the success of the shoot, and their attention to detail and dedication really shone through.

We recently had both a dinner and a celebration of life event here at Cavallo Nero. Both visits were fantastic.
Our first meal for four of us was great. We had a wonderful meal a got to meet the chef. Standouts for me were the Calamari, the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, the Braised Beef Short Rib and especially the Chicken Piccata.
We were impressed enough with the meal, to have our celebration of life here. Although there were 30 of us, the manager, the chef and the servers navigated the evening perfectly. The food was tasty, hot and served in a timely manner. The chef even made our own menu for the evening.
I have no problem recommending Cavallo Nero for anything from a quaint dinner to a smaller event for 30. Thank you again.
