Thin-crust pizza by the pie or slice made with New York water at a casual, counter-serve spot.

4 Stars, Let me start by saying this pizza was good, above average overall, but not true NY style. I have had my share of pizza as a native New Yorker and as a certified pizza judge over the years. The crust/dough of this pizza pie was more of a cracker like consistency, less chew than like NY style crust, lackes in flavor, missing the yeast taste, and overall bland dough. Again it was not bad pizza but its not NY pie. Toppings are of decent quality, good ratio of toppings, fantastic selection of slices ready to go. Great service, decent seating areas. Parking…. i know its not the restaurants fault but good luck on that, when you do its 14$ at the lots, the real NY experience. Grandma pizza was excellent, great flavors and overall excellent experience. Tiramisu was ok.

Dear Eddie & Sam’s New York Pizza team,
I’m writing to share my experience after visiting your pizzeria for the first time. I had high expectations, as my wife had enjoyed your food before. However, unfortunately, the pizza we ordered was mostly burnt on the bottom and edges, and it was also overly salty. I really wanted to give constructive feedback since this was my first visit, and I hope you can improve on this aspect. Thank you for your attention.

The only good thing was the service they were fast and friendly. The sauce had no flavor, the crust wasn’t good the toppings were mid the flavor was mid, not authentic my pizza yeah it’s my style BUT it’s not anywhere near NY pizza. I get we’re not in NY but even if it came kinda close I could respect it but nah it was 6/10 I took a few bites an was done gave to a nice homeless man outside he enjoyed it.

Tampa Bay Food Tours is always on the hunt for a great bite in Downtown Tampa — and if you’re looking for the real deal New York slice, Eddie & Sam’s delivers.
They’ve been slinging pizza here for years. Family-owned and famously importing their water straight from New York to get that authentic crust, this is the spot where you can grab your favorite slice without committing to a whole pie… because is it even NY pizza if you can’t order it by the slice?
It’s immensely popular — expect a lively scene with self-service kiosks and multiple counter stations keeping the lines moving. Perfect for a quick lunch or a late-night stop, it’s about as close as you’ll get to a true NYC pizzeria experience right here in Tampa.

Let me start with I live in NY my entire life and love pizza. This is the best pizza I have had in Florida period and I have tried a good amount of establishments. The service is great. Pizza was good, was it Brooklyn,NY pizza? No. But it was a good pie. The place was packed as I was there to walk to the hockey game.

One of the best pizza spots in Tampa for some good NY Pizza! The giant slices are actually truly giant sized. Some places claim to have giant pizza slices and they’ll look like some little Caesar’s slices I had a cheese slice and cut my white pizza in half to share with my hubby. Hit the spot, so good. This place has always been consistent and delicious!

I have lived in St Pete for over 4 years and had been meaning to try Eddie and Sam’s NY Pizza since it is one of the highest rated pizzerias in the Tampa Bay area. After finally trying it, I honestly do not understand the hype.
I was born and raised in New York for over 40 years and have eaten pizza all over the state. This is nowhere close to New York style pizza. I have never tasted or even seen a pizza like this from NY. The closest comparison I can make is a random pizza spot I tried once in Washington DC.
The crust is massive, and if you look at my pizza or almost any photo posted here, you will notice the same thing. The bottom was not charred enough to give it any real crisp, and the dough itself was very dry with a strange baked texture that did not resemble traditional pizza dough at all. There is also a heavy amount of cheese, which overpowers everything else.
The sauce was decent at first and they are generous with it, but I kept getting hints of olive flavor. Unfortunately, I hate olives, and I do not understand why olive flavor would be in the sauce unless olives were requested as a topping.
As for the atmosphere, the place was extremely busy due to the surrounding nightlife scene. It was very loud inside, making it hard to have a conversation, and the constant crowd added to the chaos. Parking was also difficult and required some patience just to find a spot nearby.
Overall, the pizza is decent, but it is nowhere near New York pizza and certainly not deserving of its top rated reputation. In my opinion, this place is good, but its not great. Heavily overhyped and overrated by people who may not know what real NY pizza tastes like.

Being a NYer hard to find good pizza here in florida. For me it all about the sauce and then the dough. I hate greasy pizza. Even back in NY. I only tried the buffalo chicken pizza and it was pretty good. The crust what sold me to try again. It was an amazing crust. They pizza was not bad. It was a little salty for me but overall not bad. Definitely what to try just plain cheese or pepperoni to see if they have real NY pizza. It is tampa so good luck finding a parking spot being this is located right on the corner of a VERY busy area.

Most overrated pizza on earth. Please review my photos and tell me exactly how that is acceptable to serve to a customer. It literally looks like they chewed part of the pie. Also, the people working here are very unprofessional! As a result, they will never get my business again.
