First time trying this place. Mind you it’s in a mall, but I found the spice/jalapeño salsa chicken to be much better than expected. A bit of a unique flavoring especially with the rice and beans (not sure what they put it in it, but i recommend it).
The service was fast and polite. What more can you ask for!!

Idk what them other people talking about but the food has Authenticity, flavor, culture, they include everything your typical Fritanga would include. From the drinks to the dishes down packed ! My mom begs me to come here and buy her some salpicón with white rice and Maduro. I always get carne asada or carne frita con gallo pinto, queso frito and a BIG CARROT AND ORANGE JUICE. Fire. It’s not greasy at all the rice nor the fried cheese. You Go To a fritanga the prices are almost same. Remember you’re in a mall ! But it’s all good I recommend and the ladies are super sweet.

Carne asada was old and reheated. Worst fritanga I’ve ever had.

Large portions, fair price, flavor was good, staff was outstanding, courteous and friendly.
I purchase pollo asado, rice and beans and vegetables. As you can see in the pic, the portions are for that of a small family (I am by no means complaining). A small side of Cole slaw and hot sauce came with the meal and I also purchased a Milca (red soda). The presentation was good, food was hot and plentiful. The side of rice and beans was kind of bland, so I poured the hot sauce on it and that helped. The cole slaw was good, not sweet, but had a vinegar flavor-very good. The pollo asado and vegetables were good too.
The Milca red soda has 48 grams of sugar, so Mom’s watch out giving this to your young ones, unless you want them competing with Falcon Heavy for the upper atmosphere. Ha ha!
Overall 3 stars for flavor but the 4th star was due to portion size and price.
El Volkan, please consider adding some spices and you guys will be an easy 5 star venue!

I should’ve just waited to get by pinolandia this is the WORST nica place ever. I’ve eaten nica food all my life raised by lil Havana. The meat tasted old and rice was alright. The cheese was cold and hard and the only thing I liked was the torilla. Wish I would’ve seen the reviews first.

This place was a big let down. I have eaten Nica food at many places and this by far was the worst attempt at Nica food. While the food is in a heated area for some reason by the time you get the plate it is stone cold. The meats were tough and dry. The beans looked dried out as well. The gallo pinto has a weird taste and with that I cannot recommend this place. For the prices being charged it is not worth it. Go to pinolandia or cana brava, you will be better off.

Rude Service. I’m Nicaraguan. This is not Nicaraguan food, it’s a disgrace to our beloved Nation. Do not recommend, eat the other places. How do you screw up Carne Asada? Disgusting really, save your money and go somewhere else!

Delicious Latin American food, served with a smile.
Tasty rice and beans and meat, with delicious plantains. The Bolice en Salsa is especially delicious And the home made sauerkraut is really good.
I would eat here again, and I recommend as a healthy option at the mall.
