From the moment we walked in, our evening at Tulum Mexican Cuisine it was a delight. The young hostess who seated us was warm and friendly, setting a welcoming tone right away. Our server, Julia, truly made the night special — personable, attentive, and full of genuine warmth. She cared about her customers and went out of her way to make us feel looked after.

The food was outstanding. The tacos were delicious, and the guacamole paired with the pork tacos was phenomenal — flavorful, fresh, and exactly what we wanted. This was the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to southern Florida a year ago.

Thank you, Julia, and the whole Tulum team for a wonderful evening. We’ll be back!

Hidden Gem Alert! As you guys know, I keep a list of Hidden Gem restaurants all over the world. Somehow, I have overlooked one in my backyard for 4 years. Today we took a shot to find some new Mexican food in the Palm Beach County area. Out in the Wellington area we have stumbled onto Tulum Mexican Restaurant. Boy am I glad we did! The food was excellent all the way around. The salsa was fresh and good and had a good option with some extra heat if you’re a texas-based family like our roots. My daughter had a Chicken Fajita Bowl, my son Fajita Quesadillas, and I had a Fajita Burrito mixed with chicken and beef. The meat marinade is the best I’ve had in Florida. Not just in South Florida, but in all of Florida. The flavor seasoning profile was legitimate Mexican and leaned more toward the New Mexico style. We also ordered the queso which was totally legit as was the guacamole. This is a 10 of 10 must visit. I saw the Molcajete and I do plan to order it next time. First-rate experience?

Not my favorite burrito but great service, atmosphere and drinks. Excellent chips. Overall a 4.9!

I am lucky enough to have this just one minute down the street for me, this is a legit restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing, drinks are on point. The service here is TOP NOTCH. I can’t remember the manager‘s name, but he was amazing and asking us our opinion about certain items on the menu, super engaged and wonderful. Our server was Danielle and I wish she did this full-time, what a delightful breath of fresh air and amazing woman! If I had never been there before I would go back just for her., She was that awesome

The place looks good and spacious. The decor is well thought out and conveys a sense of elegance.

Then from here it goes South quickly.

Food is average, nothing more than that and in the range of 5-6 miles you can find also cheaper places with same quality or better.

It seems that all they took care of is the look.

The service is dragged at the bar, but that’s not even the main issue. The issue is mostly this: everything is pretty bland and overpriced, which just doesn’t make this a good value place.

The salsa that comes complementary with the chips is one of the tasteless I ever had. Margaritas are watered down, but here to be honest, I have to say many “Mexican” places in PBC do that. Still…

The rice-and-bean was as if someone just opened a can of beans and add it to some overcooked rice.

Overall, more show than real value; I don’t expect real Mexican in PB County, but something has to work right: either you cook well with fresh ingredients, or you make good cocktails or you have good prices or the service is great.

Tulum delivers a so-so experience that can be had for half the price in many other places.

This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Wellington. If you have clients or friends, who require a little more polish than Casa Tequila, I would recommend taking them here. We visited on a Saturday night off season and there was a lovely live vocalist. The guacamole is insanely good. I had shrimp fajita with lettuce wraps, which was awesome and my husband had a burrito. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we loved the ambience. This space has always seemed to struggle, I have no idea why. It’s used to be Renato’s, which was a favorite pizza and Italian restaurant, but they seemed to not get the ambience and marketing right and packed the place with model type waiters dressed in black. That’s really not Wellington style. In Wellington, you have billionaires rubbing shoulders with grooms all dressed in the same jeans and a hat attire. During the season this backwater strip mall is teaming with equestrians, visiting Consign and design, Ace Hardware. I give Tulum a huge thumbs up and wish them the very best success!
We will be back both socially, and when I have real estate clients to bring.

This place was amazing!

Hopefully a manager or owner looks at this review because:

1. The food was REALLY good . I got the chicken tacos and it was flavored really nicely.

2. The drinks were spectacular. I ordered a mango margarita and our bar tender (she had red hair) did an amazing job with all of our drinks. She was also extremely nice as she doubled as our waitress since we sat at the bar and gave great suggestions including a yearly party that was happening later that night.

3. The hostess was also really sweet and opened the door and thanked us as we were leaving.

4. The atmosphere was really good and I loved the attention to decoration.

Highly recommend!! 10/10 for sure!

It our first time here! From the moment we walked in, everyone was super friendly, restaurant clean, and smelled amazing! Our waitress Lou was absolutely phenomenal! We had so many questions and she guided us as first timers! Her recommendations were spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed! We will definitely be back! We even brought Street Tacos home for our son that rated them a 15! If you haven’t been here, you are missing out! Thank you Lou and staff for making our Sunday night dinner amazing! Ask for Lou!!! Even on the way out, front of the house thanked us for coming! A+ all the way.

Very good mexican food and drinks! The queso with chorizo was top notch. Great Taco Tuesday happy hour all day with $3 tacos and 1/2 priced drinks. No menu of the specials so figuring out the tacos was confusing and had to ask multiple questions. Seemed like it was all tacos but was limited. My chorizo tacos were over cooked. The chorizo was hard and crunchy which was very disappointing. At points it seemed like our server forgot about us. Would go back.
