HIGHLY RECOMMEND
From the moment I walked in the cashier was very friendly and helpful.
They have sweet plantains!!!! And they are excellent.
But the real prize was the Cuban sandwich cooked perfectly with crisp bread and excellent meats and pickles.
Thank you for bringing a little Miami to NC.
Pastries are made from scratch, which is always a win.
The Cuban Sandwich was really flavorful with a good crunch on the bread. It held together well, and the portion was just right – satisfying without being too much.
The Pasta Salad had a nice balance of ingredients; nothing overpowered anything else, and it had a subtle kick. Felt light and fresh.
The Yuca Rellena with ground beef is a great substitute for Papa Rellena. It’s kind of a secret menu item. Bonus: Yuca is gluten-free and gives you steady energy.
I have been searching for a decent Piña Coladas anda they have it on their liquor menu. It was beautiful made and decorated. I loved the taste, though a little light on the rum (no real buzz).
Prices depend on what you get, but everything felt worth it. You can pay with cash, card, at the table, at the register or bar, or online.
I’ve already been thinking about going back. Good food, friendly service (shoutout to Peyton, Cierra, and Adarely), and a comfortable vibe overall. Definitely recommend checking it out.
We’ve gone here for dinner before and had a good experience so averaging the 1 star for food today with a 4 star from that visit
Every time I’ve ordered delivery from the Gastonia location they massively mess up my order. From missed items to poorly packaged orders that leak out upon opening the bag we can always rely on the chefs preparing the food to mess up in some sort of way. I’ve met the owners before years back when they first opened their first location in Denver and I know for a fact they would be livid if they saw how much their to go packaging/prep team is costing them in refunds because of subpar servings, inability to follow order notes or consistently missing items. I ordered a churrasco with onions and chicken with onions both with the note to add extra onions (a surcharge of $1ea) and they barely gave me any onions on BOTH orders .
Please owners get your chefs in line especially when it comes to serving sizes and packaging consistency on deliveries. It is almost laughable how many times I’ve had to submit tickets with Uber Eats or DoorDash for missing items time after time.
Love your food and it reminds me of my grandma’s Cuban cooking, but why are your chefs rationing delivery orders? If I’m paying almost $30 for steak and onions I expect my steak to be SMOTHERED in onions especially if I opt in for extra onions.
I hate to hold the owners accountable for what seems to be a kitchen staff issue, but this is probably the 5th time something like this has happened with this branch and it has me beyond frustrated at this point.
