Jodie, I never claimed my review was more than my opinion. That’s all a review ever is – a personal assessment regarding one’s experience.
And you are more than welcome to be offended; there are multiple reviews I’ve seen here that I would be offended by let alone in your shoes but your response reflects your integrity.
You responded professionally and respectfully to 1 ⭐️ reviews in the past, even encouraging dissatisfied customers to return for a more enjoyable experience stating, “we can’t improve if we don’t know what to work on.”
I was not hostile or disrespectful, nor did I attack you personally, and I don’t know what has occurred in the last month to expire your civility, but it is a direct indication of your professionalism and will only hurt you in the long run.
I truly hope you heal.
*I’m not sure why an honest 4 star review with high service and atmosphere ratings would warrant such juvenile hostility, but though we were willing to try other menu items and share with family and friends, we will be happy to comply with the owner’s request not to return.*

Let’s be honest, you’re paying for the view.
Service 9/10 – very friendly, accommodating, and attentive.
I called ahead to make a reservation being the weekend and requested a window table and highchair.
They greeted me by name upon arrival and had everything ready for us.
Food 6/10 – The food was good but not on par with what you’re paying for.
I ordered the pork chop with pecans, my husband ordered a sirloin and though both were alright, they were white on the inside and very dry despite his requesting medium rare.
The breaded items are also fried in a very “beer-batter” type recipe closer to that of a pub or carnival than a restaurant charging $25 a plate on average.
For that reason alone I would rate Pricing a 4/10
Atmosphere 9/10 – Very clean, organized, spacious.
We weren’t fighting to squeeze between tables with a toddler and the entire place was well swept and clean.
Our reservation was at 5:30 and we stayed for about 1.75 hours so I don’t know what it’s like later, but for the time we were there on a Saturday evening, it was very relaxed and enjoyable.
Things picked up later as the night went on but nothing crazy or loud.
Overall we really enjoyed the place and would like to try other menu items.
There aren’t many good steakhouse options in the area so this is easily our favorite and definitely plan on sharing with family and guests in the future.

We went on a brunch date today at Rugars and all we can say is “AMAZING”! It’s in a beautiful area with windows all along one side to take in the scenery. The building inside and out is decorated with simple touches that are both warm and welcoming. And then the food….wow, simply mouth-watering! And the bottomless mimosas were delish! It is well worth the short drive to go enjoy! We are looking forward to going back soon!

Service was quick and friendly. From the time we walked through the door to when we walked out, we were only there for an hour and ordered quite a bit of food! We got two appetizers, two entrees and two drinks. All the food was delicious and seasoned well! The portions were extremely generous. The entrees come with a nice sized salad, seasonal vegetables, and a side of your choice. Our entire bill was only $85 (not including tip) and completely worth it for all the food we got. Highly recommended dining here!

We had reservations for 7:00 PM and were seated at exactly our reservation time. Our service was not only quick, but excellent. We were in and out of there by 8:00. Our food was cooked perfect, and SO delicious. The special was the crawfish & shrimp Cajun pasta–let me say this: I ate the entire plate. The waitress was super friendly, the food tasted amazing, and the view was breath taking. I thought the prices were extremely fair considering how much food you actually get and the type of restaurant you get to experience. 100/10 recommend and can’t wait to go back.

My girlfriend and I got the 40oz tomahawk steak. Well wort it. The meat was super tender very flavorful ( top 5 steaks in my life), the rice pilaf was some of the best I have ever had, I’m from Northern New England and the clam chowder was top 5 as well, great atmosphere, chef Jodi who is also the owner has put together a great restaurant. 5 stars isn’t enough for this steak house. We will definitely be coming back in the very near future. Thank you again chef Jodi!

As someone with Alpha-gal, dining out can be a source of anxiety, but Alicia (our waitress) and the rest of the staff here went above and beyond to cater to my needs. I was genuinely scared of the potential consequences, but the chef came out personally to ensure there was no room for miscommunication. This level of care and attention made me feel safe and valued as a customer.
I can’t express enough how grateful I am for their understanding and diligence in accommodating my dietary restrictions. I left Rugars Steakhouse with a full and satisfied stomach, and more importantly, a sense of security I rarely find when eating out.
I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to everyone, especially those who, like me, suffer from allergies like Alpha-gal. Rugars Steakhouse has earned my trust, and I’ll definitely be returning for more exceptional dining experiences in the future.

A wonderful dining and social experience. The views and atmosphere were unbeatable. The servings were excellent and had the attention of the chef (came around to inquire). Best? The staff! They were excellent, knowledgeable or quick to provide a response, and were very personable. A great experience to be repeated.
