Visited multiple times with a party of five and experienced excellent quality every time. Family style meals are way more food than you can eat and be aware there are no takeout boxes except for dessert, which is prepackaged so you don’t accidentally slip a chicken leg in the bag to save for a late night snack. Biscuits are available for the table but I don’t waste valuable stomach capacity and prefer to wait for the meal. Decent bar menu, fun drinks like a smoke old fashioned with lots of marichino cherries. Hostess are always welcoming and smiles abound. Servers are friendly and attentive. Our most recent visit the server was also very kind to our brother who has ASD and wanted to shake her hand and clap at everything. We are very grateful for that. I hope they allow the staff to partake in the leftovers, otherwise it’s a shame to waste good food. Bathroom is small but clean. Oh and the gift shop- you just gotta experience the vast variety of kitchen gadgets galore.

So we have eaten at the Paola Dean’s in pigeon Forge and we really enjoyed it so we decided to try the one here out by the grand old Opry, and like before it did not disappoint. The chicken was amazing. The ribs were fall off the bone, the mac & cheese was amazing the banana pudding off the hook overall very pleased the one knocked that I would give it, but I understand is that it’s an all you can eat. I just wish if you didn’t order any extra that what you ordered to begin with you could take home and you can’t do that. That’s the only knock that I will give them other than that great little place there’s a little shop as you come in so you can do some shopping which we did overall I think it’s a great family place for older kids where you’re going to get your moneys worth but it’s definitely comfort food so I say take the time and enjoy.

Let me start with the things I liked. Our server, Kay, was phenomenal. Because it was Christmas Eve, a lot of their second shift servers didn’t show up and she stayed over from first shift. Although I felt her exhaustion, she had a smile on her face and always kept our drinks full and served the food while it was fresh and hot.

I love the Georgia Peach Sweet tea, the cheddar bread, the fried chicken, and the creamed corn.

Food wise, I wasn’t a fan of the broccoli casserole, macaroni and cheese, the spare ribs, or the mashed potatoes. My mom liked the mashed potatoes though. The mashed potatoes are made with sour cream which I normally like, but for some reason I thought that tasted spoiled; however if they used buttermilk or something like that, it would account for why I didn’t like tge potatoes and my mom did.

Another thing that was off-putting was that the bathrooms weren’t clean and smelled terrible. They could honestly use a full remodel for the bathrooms from what I saw. I don’t like that there were no paper towels to open the door with.

Overall, my experience was OK but it wasn’t what I was expecting for a restaurant of that caliber and expense. I’d be willing to come back and try some of the other dishes though, because they had sold out of the pot roast and the meatloaf looked good too.

Family style all you can eat lunch or dinner. You can choose your entrees plus an additional four sides.. they bring out plenty the first time we didn’t even have to ask for a second round. Everything was fresh and tasty.. chicken, fish, smothered pork chops were fabulous. The greens and mac n cheese tasted like it was homemade by Paula herself!!
The price was amazing for the amount of food we were given.
The server Jake was amazing as well, very attentive our drinks and food were brought to the table very quickly.
Check out the souvenir shop as well, so many cute things to pick up as a memento.
Definitely check it out!!

I give paula deens 5 stars, we have been here 3 times in the last two years and it has been exceptional every single time. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. The gift shop is always fun to walk through and the food tastes delicious. From the cheddar biscuits, to the pork chops and pot roast, Mac n cheese and broccoli casserole….. I could go on.
Paula Deens is a must visit if you come to Tennessee, whether it’s once a year like us or multiple times.

First time trying Paula Deen’s for dinner! It was very good! Loved the family style! So many choices! Our favorites were the pot roast, creamy potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Service was okay not the best for the money that you pay! Overall it was a great night out for dinner! Loved the decor and store too!

This was my first time going here and you get a ton of food so be ready. I love that we got to sit at a round table with a lazy Susan so we can just move the food around easily that was awesome! The service was a little bit slow even though it was a early for dinner, but it wasn’t horrible by any means. When asked for more napkins I was given a couple cocktail napkins I fall apart when you wipe your hands and they’re not very big at all. Besides that this place was excellent The view out of the back window was beautiful watching the sunset the meatloaf was great the biscuits were delicious and the fried chicken was FN awesome!!!!!!! Then to top it off the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake (that I had to take home to eat because I was so full) was sofaking sweet and tasty!!! Definitely will go again when I come across one.

Atmosphere and service are good. Food is unlimited (family style) meaning your group picks 2-4 items plus 4 appetizers and you get unlimited everything. Cole slaw was rotten, mac and cheese had a gross texture, fried chicken was dry white meat, ribs had a sugary sauce that made you instantly full. All food was made tasteless, rotten or designed so you don’t order more than one round. Only thing good was the .99 cent dessert (banana pudding) and the fried fish. Staff did their best. The product is not worth the trip, time or cost!

Delicious Family-Style Southern Food with a Beautiful River View
My family and I had lunch at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen in Nashville, TN, and it was such a great experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the spectacular view of the river, which made our meal even more enjoyable.
We didn’t realize ahead of time that the restaurant serves family-style Southern food, where you choose your meats and sides and everyone shares — and we absolutely loved it. It was perfect for our family and made the meal feel relaxed and fun.
We ordered the ribs, chicken and dumplings, creamed corn, broccoli casserole, poppyseed salad, and mac and cheese, and everything was delicious and comforting, just what you expect from classic Southern comfort food. The kids especially enjoyed their custom blueberry lemonades, which were a big hit.
The food was great, the portions were generous, and everyone left happy (and full!). If you’re looking for family-friendly restaurants in Nashville, Southern cooking, or a place with a great river view, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. I only wish I had taken a photo of our food!
