We had heard many good reviews from friends, so we booked a Friday evening.
The place was very busy when we arrived (always a good sign) the food was great, the service very prompt, helpful and quick.
I will absolutely go there again.
If you enjoy being able to hear your conversation maybe try a little later in the evening, post 7:30pm. It’s probably not a regular occurrence but the table of grown up children next to us couldn’t speak at a normal volume and had to shout everything. After they left the whole restaurant was able to hear themselves at a polite level.
Anyway, the Gurkha Inn isn’t to blame for that. The place is lovey and their food is great.

Was recommended this by a family member, and I was not disappointed! The best curry experience I have had in the local area. Venue is small but cozy, service was fast and polite, and the food was great tasting and well priced! I will be coming back!

Only reason it gets marked down is that we had booked 2 weeks in advance and on the day received a call asking us if we could arrive 30 minutes later. However, they sat us next to the toilets so we asked to move. Sat us at a table where one person had to get up every time someone needed to pass before finally putting us on a decent table. Food was great but they have too many covers for the space.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant hoping for some homely food and a warm experience, but unfortunately, I felt quite out of place. The service seemed more attentive toward local customers, while we were largely overlooked. For example, complimentary items like papad were served at other tables but not to us.
The food itself was decent, but the overall experience left me feeling unwelcome. A little more consistency in hospitality and equal attention to all guests would make a big difference.

Walked in without a booking and thankfully they were able to accommodate us (party of 4). We had been out to the theatre and saw the opportunity for a bite to eat. Food was very nice and full of flavour with a nice spice about it. Service was quick considering we were the last order from the kitchen, but it was good. Our bill was under £70 for 4 adults with a drink each and we had enough food. Busy when we went in so this is an indication that it’s a good place to eat

A little pricey, I love the seafood platter because the sauce wasn’t too spicy for me but I expect a little bit much on the plate for it since the price is good for 2 people. The king prawn biryani was also good, over all the experience was really good, the serving was quite quick and the waiter that serves us is polite.
