We ordered takoyaki (fried octopus balls) and my wife got sushi. The takoyaki was so warm and spicy with a good umami flavor too! This came with salad and miso soup, so it felt like we always had some new item coming to the table. The drink selection was fantastic with seasonal wine, soju, and other drinks straight from Japan! Our main dish was Katsu curry and the flavors were excellent and hearty, only minor critique would be that the curry was not super hot, but I’m guessing since it was busy and we got alot of food that could be why (I also like my food piping hot). But I scarfed it down! Dessert was delicious with daiyaki and ice cream, a sweet red bean pastry that was probably the highlight of the night.
The atmosphere is quaint but classy, and the bar is really cool with the tv, sushi chefs, and manga there! Really want to come and just have a drink sometime. The staff was super welcoming and accommodating always checking on us and keeping us filled with food and drink.
All in all a fantastic night and we will definitely be frequenting more!
Great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back next time I am in town. ✨
It all tasted great, and the presentation is top notch. The portions are a good value, we split the dinner with two people and both left full.
Naoki is an absolute gem in Brevard County. I’ve been coming here with my fiancée, family, and friends for YEARS, and I honestly can’t believe I haven’t written a review until now.
When you step into Naoki, it feels like walking into a cozy, tucked-away restaurant in Japan. The space is filled with personality—surf photography, muscle cars, Japanese comic books, spirits, and even photos of the streets Naoki grew up on. It’s charming, nostalgic, and unlike anything else around. Nine times out of ten, you’ll find Naoki right behind the sushi bar with the rest of the team, crafting delicious roll after roll.
Now for the important part—the food.
It’s incredible. Their menu has everything from ramen to curry to takoyaki, but my ultimate weakness here is the sushi. One roll I always recommend is the Yokosuka with shrimp—perfect if you’re into American-style rolls. It’s massive, loaded with shrimp tempura, and topped with seasoned minced tuna that’s unbelievably soft and flavorful. The combination of melt-in-your-mouth tuna with the crunch of the tempura is chef’s kiss.
But the real star for me is their Nigiri. I recently visited Japan, and I can confidently say Naoki’s Nigiri tastes just like some of the sushi I had over there. Nigiri is simple—just fish and rice—which means the quality has to shine… and here, it absolutely does. The fish is always clean, fresh, and beautifully prepared. My go-to Nigiri lineup (in order): Aburi Salmon, Raw Salmon, Hamachi, Tuna, and Eel. I could eat Nigiri from Naoki all day long.
Their fried gyoza is also fantastic—we almost always get an order for the table. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside, and served with a bit of cabbage, which I love. And of course, don’t forget to grab a cold Sapporo—one of my favorite Japanese beers and a perfect match for everything.
The staff here is wonderful. They always make you feel welcomed and at home.
A few weeks ago, I actually brought my camera to capture photos of the food and the ambiance for this review, but life got busy and I didn’t get around to editing them until now. I’ve visited multiple times since taking those photos, which just shows how much I genuinely love this place. This review isn’t sponsored—I just appreciate Naoki that much.
Thank you, Naoki and staff, for feeding me and my loved ones for so many years. You all are amazing.
I’ve included photos of some of my favorites. If you’re reading this review—do yourself a favor and stop by!
My meal here was a delightful journey of flavors, firmly earning its 5-star rating. I savored the exquisite Blue Fin Tuna, which showcased remarkable freshness and delicate seasoning, while the Tonkotsu Ramen delivered a rich, velvety broth paired with perfectly tender noodles. The variety of house sushi rolls I sampled further highlighted the chef’s artistry, offering an array of textures and flavors that truly captured the essence of Japanese cuisine. With attentive service and an unwavering commitment to quality, NAOKI JAPANESE CUISINE is a must-visit destination for any Japanese food enthusiast.
