I had a decent plate of Huevos a la Mexicana from this Rosarito’s Mexican Food location in East County.
It was a generous portion but I felt that they simply mixed some pico de gallo, heavy on the chopped tomatoes, with eggs. It also came with cilantro, which is normally not an ingredient in this dish. Perhaps as a garnish.
It tasted pretty good, but the dish was missing those green peppers, notably the chopped serrano or jalapeno peppers. For this Mexican traditional breakfast, they should have freshly chopped tomatoes, onions, and peppers, and not pull from that already prepared pico de gallo. It will make a huge difference.
The meal came with some corn tortillas, which were good. They re-fried beans and Mexican rice were both good. If you eat in, they offer you some tortilla chips. They had good chips and good eating with the beans and hot sauce.
They ladies at the counter were nice. There’s parking right out in front and only inside seating.

Delicious food. A bit on the pricey side, but at least their burritos are big. Expect to wait at least 15min for your food though. Besides there long wait time, I still recommend eating here because the food is very tasty and portions are bigger than most.

There are so many choices in East county for excellent top of the line Mexican food, I’ve lived 2 miles from rosarito’s taco shop in lakeside for almost nine years and I’ve never been there because there are about seven other taco shops closer to Central El cajon,
So I decided to give it a try and so far the food is five star because you really have to go out of your way to mess up Mexican food in San Diego in my opinion so they always get five stars I only give less if the service and food is just garbage,
So, so far so good I had three chicken rolled tacos and two beef tacos, for some reason the photos I took of the chicken rolled tacos did not come out as clear as I would like so I will update the photos later, but trust me there is plenty of chicken in them and the tortillas are nice and crunchy,
The green and red sauces were pretty par with most green and red sauces around El cajon I would say they are slightly on the spicy side compared to other ones I have had, but still fresh, good, and flavorful,

Great place sometimes depending on who is at the counter. The guys have great customer service but the heavier lady is rude sometimes and the ladies seem to not carry the same polite niceness as the gentlemen that work there. It makes you not want to go there when the people your buying from are rude and very turned off from customer service. They need to re train the staff and make service more polite and revamp. Plenty of taco shops near have better service , this is a major hint because I love this place when they are on top of their ishh

A mom & pop Mexican fare like this establishment is the perfect example of a simple operation that is successful due to the attention to their flavorful menu items. In their earlier years when they had just opened their shop, we did not like the non-descript selections in the menu, lacked flavor & presentability. We gave it another try this time (3yrs later, for real!) and to my amazement, the “Carne Asada Burrito i got was scrumptious & a good sizable portion. Beans, & Rice was a good yummy complement on the side. Drive thru ordering was pretty quick, and my order was complete as i checked. Try them, you’ll enjoy their flavors!

Steak Ranchero is not a soup. The salsa is hot chili water. No flavor. This is the worst I have ever tried throughout the western United States. I would not eat at this over price place again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
