This was the meal i decided to have for New Year’s Eve and it did not disappoint. The combos are phenomenal, the staff was great and who doesn’t like Portuguese bbq? Let’s be real.

I have eaten here a couple of times recently took the barbecued chicken to go because they were closing but people were still sitting eating . The chicken is good but I think it needs more seasoning on it but its cooked very good texture of chicken is good . I really like their soups I have had the kale with a potato base and I think sausage is in it . The chicken soup is also very good .I had the sampler with bacala fried balls and Spanish sausage, fried potato chips and garlic shrimps. The shrimps could use more garlic on it but it was very good and I enjoyed the food .

I had steak which was pretty good. The vegetables that came with the steak were mostly cabbage. The beef empanada was really good. The roasted corn was roasted nicely but had no seasoning on it. The wings are breaded and were terrible: soggy breading mess on the outside. I ate part of 1 and threw them all away. I wouldn’t recommend this place, for the $70 I spent I could have gotten much better food elsewhere.

They increased their prices but the quantity and the quality of the food has gone down. I live 2 minutes away and I rarely eat here because The Pit in Bloomfield gives you better chicken and they don’t give you a pan full of fries with little to no chicken. I won’t be wasting my money or time here anymore.

My steak was ordered rare and came beyond well done, tough and inedible. The cheesy garlic bread that I paid $4 was basically a dinner roll, and the garlic sauce was like watered down hot sauce with some minced garlic thrown in.
For $29 this was extremely disappointing. Won’t be back.

I ordered BBQ chicken sandwich and it looked NOTHING like in the picture.
I was expecting a Portuguese roll stuffed with chicken right off their open grill, instead it was a cheap burger bun that fell apart as you held it, the chicken drowned in cheap generic BBQ sauce (completely taking over the iconic taste of Portuguese BBQ) and no pickled veggies included.

What a disaster this place is. Service was consistent given the price point, the food was not consistent with any price point. The shrimp, fries, and rice were severely freezer burned. The chicken was dry, the pork ribs were bland, the steak had the consistency of a hockey puck. I did find the sausage to be edible. The $3.00 credit card surcharge was a nice surprise, another customer doubled parked blocking us in the parking lot was the icing on the cake. Save your money and stay away from this place. Just awful.
